Really, just get over yourself. Your taste in music leaves a lot to be desired and if you're going to put so much emphasis on how much all radio music sucks, you could at least back up your assertions by not having so much of the music that you deemed so bad.

not necessarily. The radio will continuously play the same things over again, but it's a fairly good indication of what the genre sounds like as a whole. There isn't a whole lot of rap out there nowadays that sounds really different from what is on the radio. The same goes for rock, country, metal and pop. The only things apart from the sound of the radio are the niche markets. Anyone who likes something for not being mainstream is dillusional. Just because something is mainstream does not automatically make it worse, and just because something is non-mainstream does not make it better. where I say it's a niche market, I mean that it's not palatable to everyone out there and more often than not is not an indicator of the genre at all.

(the only real oulier would be techno, where so much is made at any given time, and there are so few techno stations that you only really get it thrown in with pop and you don't see everything there is to see)

Lastly, Emo Punk is one of the more commercialized forms of rock, so saying that is just about negating everything you had already said.

bleh, when it comes to thee michelle elephant gun, there music is produced horrendously. All of their music clips at just about all volumes. While the wall of guitar works with bands (such as spacehog), the point of recording it is to make it sound good. So if I could enjoy a melody without my ears bleeding from all the mids they blast at you (they seem to have equalized the recording just enough to suck all the Lows and highs from the EQ) I might like them. Otherwise, they try to take the gritty rolling stones (sloppy, thin and twangy) sound way too far in terms of production quality. It doesn't cost money to turn the amp down.

As for dillinger escape plan. They're just shitty trash thrash metal. They continuously get off beat, they're singer is obnoxious sounding (reminds me of those fat kids who wore all black and wallet chains in high school) and has no talent. THeir songs are an array of random chromatic movements double picking their Drop A guitar while the singer screams at odd intervals. Hell, they're so inconsistent, you can't even find a regular interval to head bang if you were so inclined. If you want to listen to a band that has a changing time signature, then listen to Meshuggah. At least they're good and make songs that are easy enough to follow.
