Kind of a wishlist for new sets you would like to see made. I know a few store owners that can get requests back to FX. They have been kind of slow with new sets lately, so lets see if we can get a few requests in.

I would like a Macross 7 set rereleased and remastered with improved subs, but I don't think EZ does any original subbing, so thats just a dream.

Shaman King Perfect - HAH! Never going to happen. I never saw what 4kids did to butcher it so bad that they even stopped dvd sales, but it had to have been pretty bad. Of course it is 4kids- Antichrist to anime. I remember the series was mediocrely good many years back when I saw it in fansubs, but then again I am a sucker for mindless fight animes.

One Piece Perfect - not suck edition. The current one that just came out is based off the terrible 4kids one, right? ANTICHRIST I SAY!

King of Bandit Jing: Seventh Heaven OVA Perfect - Plain and simple.

Dragon Drive Perfect - Meh. I don't care really, but my nephew likes it.

Blood Perfect - I am sure its coming out soon anyway.

Gravitation OVA Perfect - Why not. Yaoi needs love too.

Hello everyone. It's been a while. I figured this place has been rather abandoned, but you know what? I see 9 people online right now. And it is 3am my time. That tells me this place is far from abandoned. So I think it is time to start kicking things up here. I will try to come up with a few topics of discussion over the next few days and see if I can help kick-start this forum. Everyone else join in also, because I feel that HK anime is far from being dead.

So how is everyones experiences with HK anime been? I have actually been rather happy with things.

I mostly stick with EZ/FX these days. I feel they have finally caught back up to the awesomeness FX was back in the days of Flora. Most of the time on these new sets the video and audio quality has been near perfect. My dvd player even has an easier time with these disks than the old FX ones.

I havn't bought much in the way of MAC lately, so I can't say much about them. Tho I must say I am very pleased with the last MAC set I got. I nabbed the two sets for Yakitate Japan, and they are very well translated. You get the occasional bad wording and grammar error, but everything else is spot on so far.

And the last MI set I bought was Get Backers Perfect, which was a fantastic watch and superior quality.

I just got me a big steaming new batch of anime I am watching on, and I will start posting up some reviews for them soon.

So is everyone still going to the theaters?

Lately I have been going to the movies more often. I saw shoot em up, 310 to yuma, resident evil extinction, and micheal clayton.

Shoot em up has decent gun action and explicit humor but if you liked crank like myself you will like shoot em up.

310 is an excellent film you dont necessarily need to like westerns to like this film, bale and crowe are fantastic.

Resident evil is the weakest of the three, great action and special effects the story had potential but not enough payoff, pacing is off and plenty of missed oppoutunities to make use of names and characters from the games some characters feel pointless and tacked on.

Michael clayton is an excellent film, if you like clooney or judicial films or thrillers in general clayton is an all around good film keeps your attention.

Anyone see transformers of die hard yet?

I just recently picked up Ikiru , excellent movie. Definetly one of kurosawas top three even though its unfair to make top lists because all of kurosawas movies are great, we wil never see another director like him. I doubt you could find any other director to have had so wide spread a positive impact on movies and in so many aspects there of as he did. You never would of had a lucas of a star wars if it wasnt for him.
