I found these sales numbers for video game systems to be pretty interesting. The information is from April 20 over at http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9584_22-6177853.html

For the current gen sales during the month of March they look about like I expected:
Wii: 259k
XB360: 199k
PS3: 130k

What really interested me was the volume of sales for the PS2 which outsold the Wii (probably due to availability and a recent price drop) with 280k units sold.

Now if we combine the PS2 and Wii sales then we have numbers that match the NDSL pushing 508k units in the same month with the PSP selling a meagre 180k.

I am interested to see how this plays out over the long term and to see if there is ever any real competition for Nintendo in the realm of handheld gaming.

Please note this post is based on facts I find interesting and not intended to bash any console. I encourage commentary in the same vein.

Well saw spidey yesterday, though I am sure many will disagree I loved it. And yes I grew up with spiderman reading the comics and watching the old fox morning cartoon but to adapt to screen some things have to change. But when I left the theater I had the same feeling I used to get after I read a spidey comic, they captured spiderman and his core and nature perfectly. Stan lees cameo absolutely brilliant everyone roared cheering after he said "nuff said". You cant please everyone but if you dont like this one chances are youre angry about little things you didnt like and dont know how to just enjoy a fun movie.
Nuff said.


PS- what you didnt actually want them to kill parker and go into the whole clone scarlet spider peter parker fiasco now did you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey folks,

I'm still here in Singapore and have become friends with a group of people who are into building model kits even more than most of us are into anime. One guy has even rented a second apartment just so he can set up space for people to build model kits and he doesn't have to listen to his wife gripe about paint fumes when he paints.

I have started airbrushing for the first time ever (just last weekend). You will notice a few of the kits I have built linked below and there are more available over at http://www.flickr.com/photos/zagatto/ along with the rest of my pictures of things I've done since I've been here.

When I get back I am going to set up an area to work on model kits and to use the airbrush (they cost 1/4 of what I have to pay in Canada here in Singapore) to work on that Gundam kit for JJ.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while... been having too much fun doing non-computer things.
