Steamboy to be edited for U.S ?
Posted by: puzzleguy - 03-12-2005, 04:22 PM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (3)

Ive heard that Steamboy is going to have some editing done to reduce its play time down for American Audiences , somewhere in the 12 to 18 minutes or more - , wanted to see it in English so bad , and Ive been waiting for practically forever to see this movie -If they do screw with this movie hope when its on R1 that its back to its original length . Not positive of this editing but its been on a few of the other Anime sites, hope this isnt true ! anyone know the facts ?

  Nazca Volume 4
Posted by: katherine_jean - 03-12-2005, 09:30 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (2)

Well, the last series I got into is Nazca.

I bought volumes 1-3, so that leaves 4.

At first, I loved it, but then it just got a little..I dunno, but it wasnt near as good as it ended up being in Volumes 1-2.

I was wondering, from anyones who's watched the series, whether or not its actually worth getting volume 4 to this? Or should I just forget about it.

  Any Update on FX?
Posted by: a0214249 - 03-12-2005, 01:54 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (7)

Hmmm, Just wonder if there is any update on FX..
I hope they will back to business soon so I can get better gooddies compared to MAC.
I don't like the idea that MAC will monopoly the asian anime market.. No competitor, no improvement...
Also wonder will MAC be caught too? Will MAC stop producing or rest for awhile after the FX case is settled???

  ....Yeah....spring break?
Posted by: odin0425 - 03-10-2005, 03:05 PM - Forum: General Babble - Replies (22)

The time that all college students pry for has come...spring break. Mine started at the begining of the week. I was looking forward to it, probably more then most people, the because I was in accelerated classes in winter quarter, same amount of knowledge but with less time learning it--cram course if you will--, i had virtually no weekends. the only problem is now that i am on break, all my friends arnt, so i have two weeks of beeing board off my ass, trying to find stuff to do. so you can probably look forward to me beeing a bit more involved with this site.

  I need everyone's opinions!!!
Posted by: rd4everanime6 - 03-10-2005, 02:13 PM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (1)

I would just like to know, I'm planning to buy "Twelve Kingdoms" and I want to know if it's good or close to good or whatever. I just want to make sure that it is worth buying. What is it exactly about?
Also, I would also like to know any anime that you guys know that is really really really good, I mean REALLY good. It could be action, adventure, comedy, romance(which I really like, especially romantic comedy), horror(not so much, if it's good, okay), sci-fi, mecha(a really good one, like gundam wing or gundam seed), and whatever you can think of. Thanks a lot. Big Grin

  Devil May Cry 3

If you own a ps2, you should ALL be playing this game!

Not only does it make up for that sack of crap known as DMC2, it even puts part 1 to shame. This game took everything that was great about the series, and made it even better.

More story, more moves, more style, more combos, quick changing on the fly of weapons, the graphics have been improved greatly, and Dante is more cocky then ever.

The one complaint you'll see everywhere, is that this game is considered to be 'impossible' by some. Because seriously, it really is. I had a hell of a time just playing it on easy, so i'd hate to see anything else. Even if the levels were easy, the boss fights require you to use every trick in the book. Though some can just be brutal.

What really stands out for me though, is just how over the top and zany the story scenes are. They have some of the coolest fight scenes i've ever seen. You'd think Kitamura directed them (which i can SWEAR they said he did, but i couldn't find his name anywhere in the credits)

Overall, this is one of those 'must own' ps2 games. Especially if you're a fan of the original.

//edit// DMC3 is no longer the sack of crap!!! Thanks for pointing out that typo Tongue... I really meant that craptastic piece of crap known as part 2
