What do you mean by completely altered? In what way? I'm pretty sure it was the uncut episodes I saw on the CBC and to think I was only ten years old and they aired it at 8 or 9pm.

The comedy shows are the best, I like the fact that the don't censore much stuff. There showing the sopranos and the osbournes uncut and the french channels show alot of softcore porn (sometimes as early as 10pm)and I don't even have satelite or cable.

Did some research and I am now positive that episodes on the CBC were uncut. I don't remember hearing the F-word butthat was a long time ago. I do remember them saying every other swaer word and lots of anti-gay terms, I also remember lots of partial nudity, mostly bare asses but they once they showed a couple of C-cup breasts (they were on Dave Foley though)

I really do miss that show.

What I don't get is why they show so much violence but when it comes sex they censor it all. It's ok to cut of a breast but it's not to kiss it.

Its true that americans are pretty uptight and conservative. I don't think religion has too much do with it. I always thought that protestants were more liberal than catholics but were I live it is mostly catholics (well the french people anyway) and I find it much more liberal here compared to the US.

They seem to say that the reason why they don't show "adut content" on television is for the fact that they are trying to protect kids. Uggg. Kids don't need protection they need "parents" if a child has good parents (like I do ) it will not matter what they see on tv. My parents let me watch R rated movies as soon as I could see, and I believe that I am a better man because of it. You can't shield kids from the truth they are much smarter than most people think. 8O 8O 8O

Yea i will agree with you 110% here. Generally if you try to shield a kid from everything in the end they will probably rebel and do everything that you didn't want them to do.

Man do i love to take a side road... anyways on the KITH take great show up hte with the best of all time but was the name of that show Ben Stiller had before he made it big....? i can't recall. As for the uptight American note. Yea there uptight look at the stink being raised over the game BMX XXX. Hell three of the big five video game stories won't even carry on there floor. But those same stories carry the movie "Boggie nights" so it's ok to have nude women in a movie at your store but not in a video game.

Because video games are directed towards kids. And parents would rather have the media filter what their kids see because the "parents" are too lazy to properly love and care for their kids. They would rather let the government screen stuff kids do because they are too busy making more kids for society to take care of because these so called adults makin babies gotta fuck as much as they can now before they are old at the ancient age of 25 the, the ripe age of having no life cuz they were too horny to keep their legs closed and pricks zipped in at 18. This is one of many reasons "AMERICANS" are secretly AND strategically(unbeknownst to them) are communists. "Land of the privellaged Home of the slaves"
