So there's this logo i have on some of my copies...

It's an "S" symbol... and in each loop of the "S" there's a circled "e"...

basically it's "see" superimposed on each other...

any ideas what company this is?

We have a winner and a new contest.
Posted by: Zagatto - 12-22-2005, 10:10 PM - Forum: News/Announcements - Replies (18)

I'm starting this out with a big THANK YOU!!! to everyone who entered. I'm happy to see how many people turned out fun to read poetry for our first ever official contest.

kureejiieshi should be proud of his efforts with the poetry. He had some stiff competition to go up against but it was his epic retelling of The Raven that won this contest (I actually debated on this because of how heavily the final verse borrows from The Raven... but all the other verses were much more original and kept the meter). I was tempted to give the award to Wanderer12 for his Cowboy Bebop haiku because I'm a big fan of the form and the show (Spike is a softy... heh) but it just didn't stand up compared to kureejiieshi's epic.

After being a member for a year and a half he finally broke his silence with some fun poetry. I hope he sticks around and joins in with some of the threads we have around here.

We have a new contest to keep people busy. For this one I'm looking for an illustration of some sort that features JunkieJoe, Schultz, Rei and myself. This can be done as hand drawn art, photoshopped images, screen captures or any other static image that will display on our monitors. Judging will be based on creativity as well as quality of execution (creativity is worth more if things get close). Any illustration containing sexual themes will be deleted but that's about the only restriction I'm placing here.

The winner will have their choice from a wide range of cool things that are even better than the figures that were the prize for the poetry contest (I was informed that they were a lame prize by one forum member). The deadline for entries is 2pm EST on January 7th. All entries must be posted in this thread. I'm looking forward to seeing what people have to come up with... you are welcome to enter more than once but entries are limited to once per person per day.

about nadia secret of blue water (movie)
Posted by: Cyrus - 12-22-2005, 05:37 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (2)

so my question is when does this movie take place in the series???

I havn't seen the movie yet so don't say anything that will ruin it for me but i was wondering because i watched the trailor for the movie off the last nadia DVD cus i just finished the series. It looked like they were older in it but at the same time grandis and the two henchies looked not really much older. Because of the epilogue of the series the people look older since it shows what happened after the series. Of course everyone looks older there but the trailor made it look like some of them were some weren't so are we talking like right after the series like a year or are we talking 5 years 10 years or maybe it's just a seperate movie with the same characters?

Any ideas?

  yyh Multivolume Box Set?
Posted by: LordMelkor - 12-21-2005, 02:36 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (4)

Is there ever gonna be a r1 rip multi volume boxset for yyh like those that were done with other series.. ie: http://www.import-anime.com/index.php?pa...em_id=2614 or http://www.import-anime.com/index.php?pa...em_id=2615 those are examples with pictures given, but obviously as the name states they are limited edition (and fx no longer exists) but i mean there are also several sets listed with on the order of 6-12 disks so i mean is there gonna be any all in one compilation of yyh (r1 rips)?

Is this anime something that a little kid could watch like a 9 year old or do you think this anime is too grown up?

  New Lost Odyssey Trailer
Posted by: Ryujin - 12-18-2005, 11:09 AM - Forum: Video Gaming - No Replies

This is the second game from Mistwalker studios. Again features music by Nobuo Uematsu. Unlike Blue Dragon which was 100% realtime, this trailer is made up mostly of CG stuff. But if Sakaguchi is to be believed, the real graphics will look close to that. Anyway, it's a pretty good trailer, check it out.
