Hi,

I need some infos on Saint Seiya DVDs that I wanna buy. Unfortunately I couldn't find any reviews on this site, so I would be glad if anyone could give me some information.

AC5158 Saint Seiya Movies (4 in 1) = 1DVD
AC5067 Saint Seiya The Hades Chapter Sanctuary OVA = 1DVD
AC089 Saint Seiya the Hades Chapter Sanctuary TV = 3DVDs

The only thing that really matters to me are the subtitles, the video quality doesn't have to be perfect, neither the sound. Are these the best versions I can get (Hades DVDs) ? Thank you guys!

ok I have a question. hope it's ok to ask here, since these two sellers on ebay sell imports I thought it fits with the board and site being a site for hk imports...

I wasn't sure though if I could post their ebay ids..don't want to ruffle feathers though its not that kind of question.

there are two sellers, I noticed that they both have the same kind of website for their off ebay sales of imports, it's exactly the same style and then I noticed that they both were in UT....now interestingly enough I have bought from both of them before, both I had made a few to several purchases here and there in the past couple of years...but it never occurred to me...could these two be the same person? they go by different names..not the ebay ids I mean the names they go by and I have had their info from ebay before as I usually request their info in case I ever have to call a seller.

is this possible?

now if I can post the ebay ids maybe someone can tell me but if that's against some rules or something then I didn't want to do that. I can email you off board though. ok well curious I be for a reason that I don't want to post here but it would help to know if I would be purchasing if I do from the same person or not. thanks again:confused:

well first off, happy new year, its now 2006 and another year closer to your inevitable death...HORRAH!!!

so what did everyone do for new years? i stayed home, and ate pizza by myself and played on my psp. My new years ressoultion is to stop making promises i couldnt keep...kinda like a new years ressoulution.

I am happy that break is almost over, its almost a month at my school...as if im going back, i just wanted to wait till the first of the year to look for a job, it just somehow made since to me...

anyway, what have u guys been up to, how did u enjoy your break, ect?

What company released these? The set isn't on this site, is this something new?

curious I be but I have a gatekeepers 4 dvd set that doesn't seem to be listed on the anime review page here but the closest I saw was the fx 4 dvd set. the only thing is the cover is different and it doesn't have the fx logo.

it's a grey cover with different cover picture, title is on the bottom and the picture has several of the characters together on it. the back has no english except a little where it tells you about the specs...but that's it, the rest has kanji and pictures of scenes from it.
the number I can find on this is E01251, 2, 3, 4 which is the end number on each dvd...so its E0125#....it's a gatefold with a plastic insert.

it's actually quite good.. I got it oh I think 6-9 months ago, frankly I can't remember...but a while ago and watched it and haven't seen it again yet but what I remember is I had no problems with the dvds and it was all very good.

anyway...is this Fx or someone elses..I was just really curious since the others listed here are either just japanese or not a 4 dvd set (the 4th is ova). thanks

This is the 30th Anniversary Digitally Remastered Edition of Chinese Ultraman, so you will find the picture and sound quality much better than those Ultraman DVDs you would find on eBay.com. This is the original, official release, with deluxe, professional artwork on the disc, inner case, and outer case. Unfortunately, this Hong Kong made DVD is not Region One. It's coded in Asian Region, so you won't be able to play it on your regular DVD player. But you should have no problem to play it on any computer with a DVD drive.



This movie had only one goal when it was first produced in 1974, to compete with Japanese Series Ultraman and Kamen Rider. Although unknown to most Americans at the time, Ultraman and Kamen Rider were hugely popular not only in Japan, but the entire Asia during the 1970's. Hong Kong movie makers were determined to produce a film that could lead into a franchise to compete with the Japanese super heroes. That's why its literal English title, The Chinese Ultraman was used when it was first released in Hong Kong and Taiwan in 1975.

The film had indeed surpassed the "actual" Ultraman in many way. This Inframan knew his kung-fu really well, he could fight like a professional Chinese martial art master through out the entire movie. Not much dialogue were used in the film, instead it's filled with action and fighting scenes for this 90 minutes film. It was very difficult for an actor to see while wearing Ultraman-type masks, how could he fight like a martial art master is always a mystery to me. Just imagine a stormtrooper from Star Wars performs kung-fu style fighting for an extended period of time.

Most of the special effects used in the film looked much better than the "actual" Ultraman. When Inframan transformed into a giant, he looked really huge! It was also one of the biggest budget film made in Hong Kong at the time. Although it was a box-office hit for the summer 1975, no more sequel were ever made. So this has become one unique, classic Sci-Fi film of Ultraman-style.

Hey guys. I'm not really sure if any one is interested in 80's cartoons on this board, but I have all of the G.I. Joe season sets as well as the mini series and the movie.
