For the very few that may be a fan of the Dragonball series, my friend in Norway is working with AS/MAC in releasing new sets of all the series. The sets will be taken from Japanese satellite that was aired and burned onto hard drives, I've been told the video/audio is superior quality. He is working with them to ensure that the subs and everything are up to par and that the sets are far supior to any other HK releases...

I was reading the reviews for the 3 versions that JJ has up for review, and after I going through them all I'm really confused. The MAC reveiws said it only had an eng dub, but the other 2 said it has eng subs and jap dub. All I'm really concerned about is the MAC set, which I'm considering getting. So any help will be great. Thanks.

could anyone tell me how is the quality of the transformers season 1 (hk editions)??

Hi, a newbie here, I was just wondering if anyone here has had any problems with the video on the Macross Zero Vol. 2 DVD. I'm just curious if it's just my copy that's exhibiting a not so great transfer....ie. during any action/fast moving scenes, the video doesn't hold up. Thanks for your help!

First off, let me apologize if this question has already been asked. I searched for it but couldn't find the info I was looking for. Anyway, here's my question. Most of the Utena Tv series has been released on R1 dvd. So far I've only seen one hk dvd of it and that's only the first 13 episodes. Does anyone know if the full series is imminent for hk dvd? Who is going to do it? (I really like F/X) Cost? etc. Thanks in advance everybody!

Ok, now I'm not trying to be a smartass, just asking a question so please no flaming of the noob :p . You said there are no R1 rips until the set is out in the US. By set you meant the entire series, right? But, Zenki by MAC is released just like the R1 ones are, with 13 eps per vol. & not all volumes are out in the US, they rip them as soon as they're released I assume. Is this because they're already compacted, 13 eps per disc, or what?

I have been having problems with my Newtype subsription. I've emailed them about 6-7 times about it and even called them at there 800 number but they really dont seem to care. Ive though about disputing the bill with my credit card company but though that to be a nasty thing to do . Besides I like the magazine , and Im hoping to get this resolved in a fair and reasonable manner-I think partly the problem is that 4th class mailing system they use- the magazine cost me 85 bucks a year and it comes beat up ( when it comes at all ) Im open to suggestions, but I am getting tired of dealing with their un-carring attitude, also When I ordered the magazine I was sopose to get a T-shirt that never came . At this point I dont care as much about the T-shirt because I wouldnt promote somthing as poorly run as this- but my son wants it. puzzleguy

Hmm...I made AMVs all year at school on the MACs. I used VHS then. Well, I got myself a program called SmartRipper and am embarking on making my first video on my computer [named The Beast, for X reasons ]. I know that one disc of the MI Gundam Wing Perfect set is 8 gigs, and I have the 50 free gigs of Hard Drive space left for the video files, so that's no problem. I just need to try and do this to see if I can do it, and if I can, then I can go back to making AMVs like I love to do.
