Here some screens for the PS2 game a demo has been release in japan a few weeks ago. The game is being made by Yukes the same game company that made the Dreamcast game and has made also the WWE Smackdown games.
http://users.adelphia.net/%7echaya...k/Berserk1.html
You can view the two trailers at www.gametrailers.com look at the Alphabetic B section and scroll down to Berserk title.
Oh in the screens it shows the Berserk Armor. So the game takes place during the manga in vol 24 or 25 which is where the troll battle happensup to vol 27 where Guts gets the armor. It's also shown in the shorter trailer verison at gametrailers.com

Is this true or not? |

I know this is bringing back the little bandai going against pirated dvds thread but I saw on this website about a person asking if hk dvds were illegal or not? And the manager of this online anime dvd store said:
You can find this piece of info HERE!
Quote:Are Hong Kong DVDs Illegal?
I'd answer this.. but it would most likely be thrown back in my face.. I'd like to point out that US Customs INSPECTS my packages DAILY.. and I get each and every one wrapped in yellow customs tape saying passed and GTG. We also quite often pay taxes on these shipments due to their value and you can't be taxed on illegal goods. So don't send me you're diatribe emails pleading that I am destroying the world.. because you're full of....
The best retort I've seen to this was a witty email to the effect of "If I shipped in drugs and they arrived that'd make them legal too! I have a lawyer that would love to hear that argument" To answer this I'll first point out that any moron that tries this and believes there are no drug sniffing dogs in customs.. you're an ideot. Second is the fact that the first numnuts in Customs that opens a box full of hash is gonna be dialing law agencies so fast it'd make your head spin. Don't waste your time writing me emails like this.. it's wracking your brain and I have tons of time to forward your ignorance to the masses. Any box that we were taxed on was opened and promptly inspected and given an "Taxation Rate per DVD" and we were billed. Legal, sorry to break it to ya.
I am just wondering if what the manager said was true or not. I mean he does have some reasoning why it is legal, but I want to hear what you guys say about this.

I wonder if some of you could post pics of yerselves. Posting/trading stuff on Import-anime is great and everything but it kinda sucks to not see what the other person's face. So how about we post pics of ourselves.

Suggestions regarding dub/subs for JJ |

I might be out of line here, but I would like to make a suggestion to add to the forum rules. There have been way to many sub/dub debates lately. I admit I participate in them as well, even if I am never the one to start them.
Can we add something to the forum rules where someone gets one maybe two warnings and then you can ban them if they say something that is obviously controversial about a sub/dub.
For example. If someone says something like 'I watched the subbed version and liked it better because the voice actress for Bulma was annoying in English'. That should be OK, because they're justifying their reasoning for not liking a particular performance.
But if someone says 'All dubs suck', or 'Dubs are shit compared to the Japanese performances which are chocolate'. They should be warned, because there is nothing behind it except biased opinion which is obviously just trolling for an argument. And if someone continues to do so, ban them.
Because at this point everyone knows that it is a moot point. Yet there are some who continue to make controversial statements. I know JJ has gotten lax on the rules lately. But I do think this would dramatically help reduce these pointless debates.

Help-what is this I have-Escaflowne |

Hi folks,
new here....and pretty new to import buying....sooooo I"m starting to learn that there are different products for the same anime out there, first question is how can you tell what your buying if you can't see the package first or is that going to make a huge difference...so far the items I bought that I see have the FX logo on them have been really good but I also have one that has no logo and I can't find it here...
it's Escaflowne...it's a blue cover with a scene with a lot of the characters..so far I just started watching it and whatever this is it's a great rip (if that's the term)....
it's 3dvds....english& japanese language, ntsc, hi-stereo, 4.3, mpeg2, english and chinese subs.....it says also D9x3 and a number F0038 ....(F003802 is the number on the disks)
the title is at the top of the box, The Vision of escaflowne (small e) the TV Series. 26 episodes
in the bottom left corner I presume are chinese characters...it's a nice overall package..but one of the disk holders doesn't work right.....
so anyone know?
next question....how often is FX copied and do these copies also copy their logo on the box...I notice the FX discs I have to have a distinctive look to them, I don't know if this is consistant...
these are the titles I have so far....
Love Hina (pink cover) FX logo on side and back, jenglish/japanese language, eng-sub, 3 discs L003-3 (says on disc) 26 episods
Hellsing- 2 disc,english/japanese language, eng-sub, 13 episodes, this one really has a nice package, H005-2
now and then, here and there, says FX only on the back, I"m thinking this is a rip of FX, the disks have a yahoo email addy and say some things on it, also not consistant printing with each disk, one has MA214E-03, the other two don't include that.
3 discs, english/japanese language, eng-subs, 13 episodes
Lain- now I"m getting the idea FX labels usually have their logo the side and back, but I"m not sure if this is consistant ...so this one does too...
2 discs, english/japanese language, eng. sub, 13 episodes
inside jacket gives you the episode titles on both sides, one side reversed (for effect) L001-1
so maybe someone can help me identify these...I guess if they all look and sound good it isn't a big deal but I'm trying to get to know the world of anime imports a bit better....
is FX the most popular import out there? seems a lot of the ones sold are FX.
thanks in advance, I can provide cover pics if that helps....
