Hi ,
(Note: didn't get any hits , after doing a search here)
today i was looking for the Oshin TV show (1983-04-01) , 297 Episodes. It?s the best jdorama I have ever seen
http://www.nhkint.or.jp/activity/to_the_...hin_e.html
anyway ,
by accident i stumbled over this not so familiar anime title: The Story of Oshin
http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.asp.../did-7448/
it looks promising & i'm interested in buying it but i'm not 100% sure
so , has anyone seen The Story of Oshin (the anime)? how was it ?
is there any other releases?
oh !! , and i'm still looking for the DVD Box set for the TV Show : Oshin
I've only found the R2 DVDs (Japan Version), $_$
http://us.yesasia.com/kr/PrdDept.aspx/pi...rsion-all/
i've seen part of the show on TV in English dub , the dub was quite good , but I?d love to see it in its Original Japanese track with subs.
is there any English DVD Releases ?
it would be a dream come true if i find the whole show with the option to hear Jap audio + subs
any help would be greatly, immensely appreciated , thanks !
Edit:
I?ve found out that there is a Chinese version of this drama
And that was titled "Ah(1) Xin(4)".
Tried ebay , nada
Also from the studio that brought Oshin "NHK International".
There is this Drama called "Suzuran," ? never heard of it ?

The past few days ive been trying to think of a good topic and sine there are alot of people here of young college age and below I figured I would ask this question...
1. What do you want to do with your life after high school or college wherever you stop in the education process? What do you want to do for the rest of your life or at least think you want to do?
2. What do you truly want out of life?

UK: Manga: "Gateway Drug" to Crime |

According to the Anime News Network, Britain's "Daily Mail" editorialises in the 11/21 edition that "adult versions" of Japanese manga may lead to "child murder, incest and rape" by youths.
This is after the UK Reading Society issued a list of manga that they considered to be appropriate reading among teens, in their effort to encourage more reading. But The Mail said manga can lead to the reader's search for more violent and more pornographic manga, ending with crime. (Practically replaying the maxim about pot being a "gateway drug" for the harder stuff.)
All I can say about this is, "give me a break!" Reading manga does not lead to crime, and I haven't heard of anyone committing any crimes after reading violent or hentai manga. And their parents should already be aware of their child's reading habits, not to mention that most manga dealers know better than to sell hentai or violent manga to youths.
Any comment?

Hey, sort of had an idea on the matter of permna-bans and was wondering what everyone else thought of it. If someone gets banned, perhaps it would be a good idea to hold a three-or-so day vote of everyone on whether or not to let them back in the forum. It would be a good way to sort of "take out the trash" of the forums. :p
