A retelling of the classic Asian epic Journey to the West, except completely different. Your four main humanoid characters: Sanzo, the surly Buddhist monk; Goku, the playful Sun Wukong [monkey] character; Gojyo, the red-haired playboy [kappa]; and Hakkai, the quiet one with the dark past. Humans and demons once lived together in peace, but a new force has made the demons go berserk and kill humans. As the four travel to the west by appointment of the Boddhisatva Guanyin of Heaven, they encounter innumeral demons and meet new foes in the company of Kou Gaiji [Red Child] and others who seek to take the Sutra to Save the Damned that Sanzo carries and uses as a weapon. Part two introduces a new enemy as Price Homura [flame] and his company also seek to collect the Sutras.<br />
