The war between the UPSF and the Raalgon Empire did not end. With an uneasy peace between the two former combatants, many things are happening just under the surface. The Raalgon empire has been developing something new and terribly effective? and have the UPSF forces in mind. The Soyokaze and Captain Tylor have been given a secret mission which will have profound effects on both the UPSF and the Raalgon Empire? if Tylor lives long enough to accomplish it! And, while there are some on both sides who want a permanent end to the war, there are others who will not be happy until the other side is obliterated. And worse, there are events unfolding which are unknown and might have horrible consequences. Only Captain Tylor or someone who has learned his lesson stands a chance of solving the riddle in time? but even then, will anyone have a sufficiently cool head to do anything to head off galactic Armageddon? Join Tylor and the crew of the Soyokaze and they go off into the Galaxy one last time. There are a few surprises and more than a few tears before the end.
