Full Moon o Sagashite is a very touching story about a 12-year old girl named Mitsuki who loves to sing and wants to be a Idol (Singer). She just has one problem... , she has a tumor in her throat and has been given only one year to live. If she sings, her chances of living shorten drasticly. One day Takuto and Meroko, two Shinigami (Gods of death) visit her, so they can meet the girl that they will be taking with them in a year. Mitsuki sees them, they tell her what will happen to her and she begs them to help her audition to become a singer before she dies. Her wish is so strong that Takuto helps her and turns her into the 16 year old girl version of herself. In this form she does not have the tumor in her throat. And thus the story of Full Moon begins.... This is a very cute and touching story ! Very funny! This anime is based (very faithfully I might add) on the manga of Tanemura Arina-sensei, creator of Kami Kaze Kaitou Jeanne, Ikon and Time Stranger Kyoko. Serialized in Ribon Magazine.
