There was an ever-so-slight amount of grain, but it still looked great on my HDTV.

Audio:

Great but nothing spectacular. I must admit that I don't usually pay much attention to sound quality, even with a music-oriented title like this.

Subtitle:

Taken from a fansub source. They're in grammatically perfect English, but... mistimings galore!! Though the frequency of mistimings rises and lowers randomly throughout the series. You also get the usual amount of misspellings.

Comment:

I may be slightly biased because I loved the Full Moon wo Sagashite manga and hated the anime series. The anime seemed like it was toned down and sweetened up to fit a 10-year-old audience. The characters lost the special connections that they had in the manga, and many of the events became unrealistic and boring. Not to mention that the anime was dragged on for way too long. Artwork and animation didn't receive the fluidity they deserved, especially during dance sequences. Anyway, I'm reluctant to recommend these DVD's. If you're a Full Moon fan and really want to see the anime, try downloading the fansubs from A.F.K. Their quality is perfect except for the timestamp that's present all the time in the corner of the video. Their subtitles are great as well. (color-coded for each character *__*) In fact, I think MI got their subtitles from those fansubs. Now, if only they can learn to time the subs...

The video is great, seems to be a direct r2 dvd rip from the Japanese DVDs excellent quality, you can also see that it's not a tv rip because the time in the upper left of the screen isn't shown :D

Audio:

DVD quality sounds perfect!! Nothing to complain here

Wow great work seems like they took them from the Fansubs. Gotta love that x.x all names are correct

If you are a true Full Moon Fan you NEED to get this dvd box set, it's in a beautiful deluxe 3 dvd fold case! 3 DVD9's contains 26 eps of this great shoujo series x.x I can't wait for the 2nd box set
