In the near future, technological advances have given rise to mecha-type robots called Labors. They were created to be cheap labor and construction work, but there are those out there that have been using them to commit crimes like destruction and terrorism. And thus, the Patrol Labors (Patlabors) force was created by the police. This is a police drama with a mix of comedy that focuses on the development of the main characters as they perform their duties. The main character is mainly young academy cadet Noa Izumi.<br />
