SYNOPSIS
Posted by N8Dagg
Years after the Emperor Posiedal brutally took control of the Pentagona star system, a young man of the now exterminated Yaman Clan, Daba Myroad, begins a simple quest to keep a promise to a dying stranger, a journey that will eventually land him in command of the rebel forces, fighting to free themselves from the rule of Posiedal. With his band of close friends, and ever-growing compatriots, Daba Myroad fights to free all of Pentagona, using his custom Heavy Metal (Mobile Suit) L-Gaim, a gift left to him from his now-deceased father. As Daba?s ancestry begins to become apparent, the forces against which he fights know that their time is surely limited. With fantastic mechanical designs, superb animation for the time (same year as Zeta Gundam), and a gripping story and realistic characters and development (written by Gundam?s own Tomino), this precursor to Nagano?s Five Star Stories is one fo the best anime series ever produced. You care about all the characters, and come to love, and expect, their individual quirks. An excellent series all around.
