Three years after Keiichi first wished for Belldandy to stay with him, they are still living together. However, a mysterious person from Belldandy's past threatens to tear them apart. A fairy darts across the surface of the moon. She jumps into an abyss, and frees a prisoner. On Earth, Keiichi is looking for Belldandy. When he finally finds her, both Skuld and Urd are watching Belldandy and her angel sing in the forest. When she finishes, sprouts are coming from a withered tree. Belldandy tells Skuld that she will help her with singing. Belldandy and Keiichi ride to school. At the university, the motor club is recruiting new members. Once they gain one new girl, a lot of guys suddenly become interested in joining. Unfortunately, the two graduate student members of the motor club scare many people away with their over-zealous enthusiasm. The motor club has a welcoming party for the new members, and mostly everyone gets drunk. Keiichi and Belldandy do not, but Belldandy accidentally breaks the glass in the room with her singing powers. Upset, she runs outside, and Keiichi follows her. Her embarassment quickly turns to a romantic moment with Keiichi, but their solitude is broken by a cloaked man appearing from the shadows. He is Celestin, Belldandy's mentor from her past. Belldandy is pleased to see him, but Urd shows up on the scene, angry with his arrival. Celestin kisses Belldandy and she falls unconsious. This causes a virus to invade Yggdrasil. Back at the shrine, Keiichi, Urd, and Skuld are trying to figure out what is wrong with Belldandy. In Belldandy's subconscious, she sees multiple Keiichis calling her name, but they disappear in gusts of wind. Back in the present, Belldandy's outfit turns into her goddess outfit. She wakes up and introduces herself to Keiichi, just like when they first met. Belldandy has no memory of living with Keiichi for the past three years. Keiichi tries to wish for Belldandy's memory to come back, but it doesn't work because Yggdrasil is closed off from Earth to stop the virus's spread. The next morning, everyone is exhausted from trying to bring back Belldandy's memory. Keiichi and Belldandy go to school, where they attract a lot of attention due to Belldandy's outfit. Keiichi finally gets her to change into something more suitable for a university. They go to the motor club, where everyone is down about Belldandy's amnesia, especially since she and Keiichi are supposed to race together next week. Morgan volunteers to take Belldandy's place, and she practices with Keiichi, proving to be quite talented. While driving home, Keiichi and Belldandy crash the vehicle and have to push it home. In the morning, Belldandy fixes a huge breakfast for Keiichi. Skuld tells him that she won't recover her memory if he doesn't eat it all, so he eats every last bite. While cleaning up, Belldandy finds a photo album of herself and Keiichi. She tells him that she wants to know more about him. They take the train to Chihiro's place, where Belldandy announces that she wants to try doing the race. During university, Morgan searches for Keiichi. She finds him in German class, and she drags him out, Belldandy following. Morgan tells him that she wants to be in the race. When Keiichi tells her that Belldandy's going to try it, Morgan says to time them both and see who is faster. So they do, and Belldandy and Keiichi are faster just by a little. Racing with him causes Belldandy to have a small feeling of deja vu. That night, Belldandy chases a small blue light to a building in the city. The light turns into Celestin. He has Belldandy recall some memories that have been locked away from her; not of Keiichi but of Celestin. In the memory, Celestin shows Belldandy the Gate of Judgement and attacks it. Angels attack him and Belldandy protects him, but then other creatures take him away. His sentence is read; he is to be imprisoned on the moon. Urd gives Belldandy a liquid to make her forget those sad events. When Belldandy comes to in the present, Urd is there challenging Celestin. In her confused state, Belldandy protects Celestin and battles Urd, but Belldandy doesn't have control of her powers. Keiichi helps her to regain them, and she collapses on the ground. At this point, Skuld surveys the scene, and she lashes out at Celestin, knocking him into the TV monitor. But this outlash nearly takes Keiichi's life.<br />
