Ah! My Goddess starts with Morisato Keiichi being left alone in his dormitory once again while his sempai go out and drink and socialise or something.
Feeling the pangs of hunger coming on, and being a student, Keiichi tries to order some food in.
He doesn't quite get what he bargains for when he dials the wrong number and ends up talking to the Goddess Relief Agency (that has about a million translations, so I'll stick with that one). They promise to send an agent over to help him soon, and who should appear through his mirror but the lovely Belldandy?
This Goddess promises to grant him one wish. Keiichi is sceptical, and so wishes that "a girl like you will always be with me". Before he knows what's happening, his wish is granted, and Belldandy is bonded to him forever.
To get the ball rolling, Keiichi suddenly realises that he lives in an all male dormitory, and his sempai comes back right at that moment- and promptly kicks him out.
Keiichi and Belldandy then need to find a place to live, and they travel from friend to friend, in a sequence that took up several chapters of manga and only a few frames of anime.
They eventually find a temple, where they settle down.<br />
