What about other hobbies?

I say it's a pretty fair guess that if you're hanging out in this forum that you list anime amongst your list of hobbies. I'm curious what other hobbies people have beyond sitting in front of a TV for long hours followed by sitting in front of a keyboard for a few more hours.

I'm one of those guys that collects hobbies. Anime just happens to be one of my longest running hobbies. I've also been collecting comic books since Jack Kirby seemed to fill the newsstand with new comics every month.
From 1986 till last month I collected music CDs. I had over 500 CDs but sold them all to buy my new camera.
Photography is another hobby of mine. Although I don't think I can call it a hobby since I have a degree in photography and am busy trying to make my living with my camera.
My dad and I built our first computer together back in 1979 and I've been toying around with them ever since. My first modem was 300 baud and my first hard drive was 10Mb. I remember using 8" floppies on Commodore Pets. Computers led to video games and I've never really stopped playing them since they first came out.
I've also been playing role playing games since the early 80s. I still get together with the guys and game every Thursday night. Currently, we're playing version 3.5 of AD&D although we have played a wide variety of games over the years.
The final long term hobby that I just got home from is doing medieval recreations in the Society for Creative Anachronism. I own a full suit of armour and enjoy full contact combat using swords made from rattan.

More recent hobbies include Stikfas, Micro RC cars, trading radio programs, Warhammer 40k (almost like role playing games but way more obsessive), and collecting watches. I used to compete internationally in pinball tournaments and there was a time (before I was married) where I would make a weekend long road trip with my roommates at least once a month.

Well I'm an Artist at heart. I took 7 advanced arts in High School and 5 Drafting classes which used Auto CAD. I love art. Unfortunately my life has been filled with shit so I'm just now persuing what one would call a dream since I live alone now. I have Stikfas as well and have ALWAYS loved building Model cars and planes. MODELS FUCKING ROCK!!!! I am heavily into Armored Core and have ALL of the games. I still to this day play even the original on PSX. It's like a video game model kit. I have always liked video games and always will. Dig Dug is my fave Atari Game, along with River Raid, Pit Fall, and Combat. I like comics too as well. Don't have that many but still like them. I guess I have to say I collect movies as well because I'm looking at half my stack of DVDs and I can probably count about a hundred right here. I haven't bought anime in about a year. Nothing really tickles my fancy. I've seen TONS but own like 25. Cartoons in general are great. I'm an almost 23 year old kid. I just watched Pinocchio last night. ON VHS!!! Well I guess that's it. Hope my personallity isn't lame nor my hobbies...

I play classical guitar and love to latin dance. I train for the iron man race here in hawaii that happens her every year or so. I love to go sight seeing and visit all the beaches. I loike going to the gym and I love my video games and anime. I am also a Japanese lanugae tutor, I do that for fun but I get paid.

Ah...hobbies. They be crazy things. I'm weird with hobbies, I get stuck on one and become completely obsessive about it and ignore the others for a while, then switch. I can't really keep two going at the same time for long. Anyway, here's the list:

Reading-Lately mostly comprised of no books written after 1900 o_O got a bit of a retro streak goin'...

Anime and Manga (said for the manga part)

Video Games-playing and making (hopefully soon to be my career) This is a particularly obsessive thing.

Computers-hardware and software tinkering, tad bit of audio/video editing

Music-I play the Bassoon, which is a huge, usually red instrument of certain doom. Can be used as a bazooka if the need arises. Attempts to learn the piano.

Languages-Currently working on Latin, Japanese, German (kinda ironic all those three together isn't it? It's just weird how you can like go hmm....Latin-Italy(that one is a bit stretched...) Japanese-japan, etc. yes i am attempting to revive the axis powers...) I also will try to learn Norweigan someday perhaps as it's a part of my ethnic history.

Rock Collecting, yeah it's a bit odd and it really isn't that big a one for me, but if i see a cool rock, i stick it in a drawer.

Fishing/Camping/Hunting/Snowmobiling etc.

I can't draw. I saw one of those episodes with that crazy haired painter guy like on the PBS...he must be good, I saw that thing like years and years ago and that's still the only frickin picture I can draw half-decent.

I was into photography until I lost my camera.

Writing-Used to write news and things for some websites and attempted one of my own that I still struggle with, write anime and game reviews and things like that. Stories too. It's something I really like to do and I have so many ideas from dreams daydreams etc. but usually don't find the time to do it.
