Vicious & GrantM the VA from hell
Posted by: CrayonShinChan - 08-26-2005, 05:22 PM - Forum: General Babble - Replies (6)

I was reading this blog entry about this VA wannabe from hell. Then i realise i have actually met him; he goes to the same anime group as me & we went to the same anime con recently. Then i found he had some interactions with Vicious on AoD forums.

If you have time have a read, it is quite funny.

  help me remember an anime
Posted by: sonofagun - 08-26-2005, 06:02 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (9)

Its one of those things where a memory just pops out of nowhere....it was an anime i had about 10 years ago and i can remember the name.ill try my best to remember the details.

took place way in the future and mankind is threathened by some aliens(the aliens have no personality....just looked like giant viruses)

the main girl had a giant robot and she just tore thru them all in some of the final episodes
i think the name of it had a "buster" in the title

earth made a giant spaceship to escape and lotto off the seats

i remember some scenes where the girls were learning to fight in the robots and had school clothes on

it was a preety serious tone thruout nothing chibi i think

good luck trying to figure this one out....its driving me crazy:confused:

oh and dont bother to point out that this sounds like a million other animes I KNOW:mad:

  Leaving for Toronto
Posted by: desfunk - 08-25-2005, 10:24 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (5)

Sorry for not being around here much, been waaaay too busy with work and other things.

Anyway, Not sure who even lives in the area. But the Canadian National Expo is happening this coming weekend at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, and there's gonna be LOADS of awesome guests.

The cool thing is that me and my sister will be launching our sticker business in the artist alley this year. So for anyone coming, be on the look out for 2 goofballs with a table LOADED with amazingly cute stickers. And that'll be us.

For anyone not coming, we'll be launching the website soon afterwards. So yeah, just figured i'd give the heads up. And hopefully afterwards, I can come back here and continue posting again.

Posted by: schonebubben - 08-25-2005, 10:20 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (18)

I started using a program called azureus and bittorrents a while ago to download anime. I like to download my anime first before i buy it so i don't buy a series that is a waste of my money. But my problem as been finding some good sites with plenty of seeders. If any body knows of some good sites please post some replys on this thread.

  Mistwalker the new Square?
Posted by: animefan777x - 08-24-2005, 06:42 PM - Forum: Video Gaming - Replies (7)

It's hard to say now, but who knows? Blue Dragon reminds a lot of Dragon Quest and Chorno Trigger while Lost Odyssey reminds me very much of a Final Fantasy game. I sure hope Mistwalker turns out to be more like the old Square. I've been so disappointed with most of the stuff they have put out since PS2, with the exception of FFX. Even the director of FF XII left for Mistwalker! So who knows about that game. So what I'm asking is, what are the chances in like ten years from now of rpg fans to be anticipating the next Mistwalker game instead of the next Square game?
