  Drop shipping - Anyone interested?
Posted by: JunkieJoe - 02-01-2004, 06:48 AM - Forum: Website Issues/Suggestions - Replies (6)

Hi, wondering if anyone is interested in doing drop shipping, what that means is you sell an item that I have, and I will ship it to your buyer. Example, you list a 3 dvd set on ebay for 25 dollars + 8 shipping, it sells for 30 + 8 shipping you turn around and paypal me 21+8 shipping and you keep the differance.

I will mail the items to your buyers without listing price you paid in the invoice.

Few rules are: you need to notify me of items you are goign to list/sell, so that I put them aside for you (so i dont sell out of it before your auction ends) and to start out, only limit new drop sellers to 5 items at a time.

Please post if you are interested and with further questions in this thread.

  Rei Ayanami
Posted by: redder88 - 01-31-2004, 11:36 PM - Forum: General Babble - Replies (16)

Every time I flip a page of a anime/manga magazine it always seems that there is some story or picture of Rei Ayanami (Neon Genesis Evangelion). Why does everyone thing she is all that, all she did was speak like ten words in the story and then she died. Whats up with this character that makes her so cool.

  good FX sets list
Posted by: puzzleguy - 01-31-2004, 08:46 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (31)

I have been reading alot of your questions about FX sets, which are good or which DVD player plays them all. My own experience is that most of them have sporatic problems on different players- We have two dvd players , a computer that plays DVD's and my sons X box- some episodes freeze up in one player but works on one of the other players- almost all work fine on the computer- but its a pain because I have one of those thin screens with a small size to it ( 15 or 17 inch )-
But I have run into a few FX titles that play well on either dvd player-

Im really not niave to say these are as perfect as R1's- but a few are pretty close- and alot less exspensive=

So heres my Idea:

how about a list of which FX sets have minor or no problems playing in your DVD player.
The best one so far for me has been -Love Hina ( 3 disc set)- it has neither froze on me or given me alot of problems ( so far- Im only on Episode 21) now finished- no problems-

how about a list of the better FX set ( as far as not locking up- and playing with little problems or none )

My list starts with ---LOVE HINA -3DISC SET
NOIR -3disc set

  Faulty DVD

The first disk of Outlaw star will only play the first half of the first episode, I've tried it on 2 DVD players with the same result.

  Lunar for GBA
Posted by: Ka-Talliya - 01-30-2004, 09:49 PM - Forum: Video Gaming - Replies (19)

I've been playing Lunar: The silver star story for a while now and just recently got Lunar Legends for GBA. I started playing and feel more disgusted the more I play. It's the Silver Star Story screwed up, big time screwed up!!
I'll play it, just to see the ending but if you've ever played the originals, stay away from this!!!

  Pixar is leaving Disney
Posted by: Zagatto - 01-30-2004, 02:08 PM - Forum: General Babble - Replies (16)

Check this out Pixar is leaving Disney .

I know... I've posted a lot today... work has been super slow and I don't have much access to other things to do.

I think the biggest shame here is that Disney owns the rights to everything that Pixar has created so far.

The only up side is that Pixar doesn't seem to be running out of creative juices any time soon so we can expect a number of new movies worth watching from them in the coming years.

  FX Update.
Posted by: JunkieJoe - 01-30-2004, 07:18 AM - Forum: News/Announcements - Replies (10)

More FX goodies received today, as usual please check the store page for the complete list.

Also want to remind again to the international buyers not to forget to add the international shipping fee, otherwise I just refund the order without any warnings. Also, to avoid Custom charges Internatioal buyers should keep orders below 150, if ordering alot of single dvd titles.

  Great reviews
Posted by: Zagatto - 01-29-2004, 10:16 PM - Forum: General Babble - Replies (3)

I just want to bring peoples attention to the reviews that Peter has been posting to the forum lately. They have mostly been Hentai titles but the quality of the reviews is exactly what I like to see.

He goes into just enough detail about the video/audio/subs to make sure you know what you're looking at.

Then he goes into high gear with the extra comments. Anyone who wants to write a review should read one of Peter's reviews just to get an idea of what a great review can be. The majority of his reviews are based on fact contained within a particular title and his opinion is only at the very end of the review once he's given reasons why he might make such an opinion.

We are lucky to have him contributing to our site.

  "Uknown" studio category?
Posted by: dvd_master - 01-29-2004, 08:23 PM - Forum: Website Issues/Suggestions - Replies (1)

EDIT: I'm an idiot. There already is one. Sorry about this, pleae delete.

Is there a way you can add a category for an Unkown studio. Maybe a picture with a disc and a question mark?

I got R.O.D. TV vol.1, and it's clearly a rip of MI, but the subtitles were removed for the english track (the subtitles menu says Chinese, English, and off, but it skips over english, so you can only put the cursor on Chinese or Off) and the packaging has chinese lettings above ROD.

I'd like to review it, but with no eng subtitle it'd be unfair to put it under MI's name.

Thanks.
