My favorite anime is Fist of the north star
Posted by: buffgod - 04-07-2004, 07:15 PM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (11)

I'm just wondering in who out ther loves this particular series. I know it's nice and old and the beginning drags but once (in tv series) the first fight between Rao and kenshiro happens many cool things start t o happen and the gosha stars are cool atypical characters. And the surprises in the plot are simply heart stopping. Example, person who is the 6 nanto character. Anyway I recently heard about shin hokuto no ken but I've only read reviews that considered it to be under parr. Anyway, please fill me in on this shin fist of the north star. I appreciate all opinions.

  Maybe this is do able
Posted by: buffgod - 04-07-2004, 06:55 PM - Forum: Website Issues/Suggestions - Replies (3)

I think this website in wonderful for us anime lovers. Maybe each month or week have a consistantly changing poll of anime questions and have members be able to rate them. Also maybe a monthly featurette of a particular anime of your guys choice. I think a featurette will bring obscure anime of brand new into focus for persepctive buyers or who ever is intersted. For example, say shin hokuto no ken would be taken apart peice by piece and analyized and questions could be posted in that poll tihng I mentioned earlier. I think the anime reviews are great but many times they are bland and more times than not cause me to lose interest in certain animes. Maybe the whole featurette thing could be used to move product. Food for thought. Just suggestions.

would you import anime facilitators be interested in a brother company in Hawaii??
Posted by: buffgod - 04-07-2004, 06:43 PM - Forum: Rants - Replies (1)

I was just curios and to see if it's feasible to have a hawaii based import anime company. Would R1 companies scrutinize a hawaii import anime company. Do shipping cost and all other relavent cost seem resonable from this location. I travel to japan quite frequently, it's pretty cheap from here. Just curios import anime facilitators? I'm just wondering what you guys think. Hawaiis dead as far as import anime goes... Although I did notice in the paper recently about a japanese porno ring in hawaii.

  who liked Xenosaga 1 ??
Posted by: buffgod - 04-07-2004, 06:35 PM - Forum: Video Gaming - Replies (21)

I absolutely loved Xenogears, I mean still remember the part when the characters realized they were eating people, and the personalized robots. Xenosaga 1 felt slow, the interface made so sometimes I would a half an hour just fiddling with equipment and skills and ethers and stuff. I sure wasn't as fun as Xenogears. Please bring your opinions vidoe gaming world!!!!

FX Gundam 08th MS Team Perfect
Posted by: fzr400guy - 04-07-2004, 12:58 PM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (5)

Just revieved this last week and when I tried to watch it on my PS2, Dell ispiron 8200 laptop, and my desktop with a Liteon DVD drive it would not read the discs. Is this normal, will it only play on a DVD player? I have other FX sets that don't have this problem.

A new season is upon us...what to download?
Posted by: Sheky - 04-07-2004, 12:49 PM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (3)

The new season is starting in Japan, does anyone know of a site that previews the upcoming show like giving brief info as to what the show is going to be about? Or showing promo designs? Or do you have a show to recommend?

Personally Godannar season 2 and Bakuretsu Tenshi are the only ones that interest me so far. But I'm looking to branch out. Post your thoughts.

Out of curiousity, why do adding DVD titles take so long?
Posted by: dvd_master - 04-07-2004, 07:50 AM - Forum: Website Issues/Suggestions - Replies (3)

I'm just wondering why it can be weeks before a title is added to the database, when reviews are added within hours. Not really a huge problem, but I want to write the review before I forget it all, and the movie was rather boring so I don't want to have to re-watch it.

If you do implement the Trusted Reviewer thing, maybe a Trusted Add Titles option comes along with it?
