  Someday's Dreamers = just OK?
Posted by: gohan32 - 07-17-2004, 10:14 PM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (3)

I just watched Someday's Dreamers, and it seemed rather bland. It was a nice story, but i didn't really get much feeling from it, and it was fairly predictable. Anyone else agree?

(Quality FX product though...)

  darkknightbob and your sig

This is a request for you to remove your sig. It is over half a meg and I don't like having to reload that much data every time I clear my cache (daily). I've tried PMing you, but that failed, so I'm going to post and hope you read this and oblige.

  ROD TV MI set
Posted by: dailyplanet - 07-17-2004, 07:12 PM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (3)

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone recommends the MI version of ROD TV (part 1&2) as opposed to other versions. I know it's coming out on R1s but I'm not sure I can wait that long :p .

Thanks,
DP

  Super robot wars
Posted by: tsunami - 07-17-2004, 12:25 PM - Forum: Video Gaming - Replies (1)

Recently I've been really sucked in by super robot wars. The game is a little addictive if you've ever played it with the ability to understand the menus. Has anyone else on this forum played Super Robot Wars (any of the bazillion games on the rainbow of consoles they appeared on.)?

  Akira

Just saw Akira (for the first time). I am left with some mixed feelings: likes, dislikes and a little confusion.

I guess it was worth a viewing.

Just wondering what you thought of this anime.. uh.. classic?

Pictures for Official Live Action Movies
Posted by: Japschin - 07-15-2004, 12:52 PM - Forum: Website Issues/Suggestions - Replies (11)

Is it possible to have pictures of the Official Live Action Movies up? Makes it easier for the buyers to decide what to buy since the titles don't say a thing and sometimes different movies have the same titles.

  Remeber BANANA MAN
Posted by: fahad17 - 07-15-2004, 06:56 AM - Forum: General Babble - Replies (5)

Hi, dose anyone remember banana man i wasnt born when it was first released but i got to see later on when i was a kid. It was soo funny.

"Bananaman was a cartoon series that aired on Nickelodeon after episodes of Danger Mouse throughout the 80s. Each episode was
approximately 5 min. long, and told of the adventures of Eric (who becomes a super hero when he eats a banana). The show didn?t
have the greatest animation, but it was goofy and funny. The voice-actors in the show were the three members of the British comedy
troupe, The Goodies. Bananaman was based on a reoccurring character in the UK comic book series, Nutty, which was later carried
across to another comic called Dandy. Bananaman also had a series of his own Summer Specials in the early 90s. The animated series
was made 1983-1984."

Dose anyone else remember this show.

?This is 29 Acacia Road; and this is Eric, a schoolboy who leads an amazing double life; for when Eric eats a banana, an amazing transformation occurs. Eric ?is? Bananaman?ever alert for the call to justice.?

  New York City!
Posted by: SirChico - 07-15-2004, 06:25 AM - Forum: General Babble - Replies (12)

Though I live in New Hampshire I grew up in New York City, Staten Island. And I'm taking a trip down this weekend. Visiting family, old friends and... the food!

Big Bagels and Awesome Pizza!

If there's one thing I miss about leaving New York it's just that. Pizza is a bit lacking here... even though some people who live up here call it the best pizza on earth? (Of course they've probably have never been outside of New England!) But, I know what real pizza's like... besides that the bagels are huge! You get them fresh and soft from a deli not a supermarket (that's the only place we're able to get them up here). And the Chinese food is superb as well (come on, dinner rolls instead of rice in New Hampshire... are you out of your mind? That's almost a sin.)

Of course cuisine is better there because it is the melting pot of the world. I love driving through New York seeing the sights and different cultures.

I also get to see my family. I'm staying with my grandma who is from Sicily! The rest of my family is staying with my aunt, uncle and cousins.

Oh, yeah and sidewalks.. I haven't seen those since I've been to Boston.

Anyway, I'll be gone for a little less than a week.. Later..
