  Busted Monitor
Posted by: Vicious - 08-15-2004, 02:03 PM - Forum: General Babble - Replies (11)

When we bought our monitor a few years back, we got a cheapy one for $100 and it just decided to go out on us yesterday. So for anyone that cares (although I'm sure many don't), if you don't see me posting as much in the near future, you'll know why. I can't get on the internet from my home for now. Heck, I can't do anything from my computer from home for now. All my posting will have to be from work or from friends' houses.

  Inuyasha Coming To An End?
Posted by: rugrats1 - 08-15-2004, 08:34 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (28)

According to Arctic Nightfall, a poster mentioned that the Inuyasha anime series will close with an hour-long finale (episodes 166 and 167). No word on if the manga will continue (like Ranma 1/2), or if the finale is where the manga ends.

Is this title released on HKDVD?
Posted by: Grumpy - 08-15-2004, 03:35 AM - Forum: Anime Discussion - Replies (4)

Is the series A Little Snow Fairy Sugar (ENG DUB) released for HKDVDs yet? If so where would I be able to find a copy? If not do you know if there are plans to released them?

  One little suggestin
Posted by: nicechris - 08-15-2004, 02:08 AM - Forum: Website Issues/Suggestions - Replies (1)

The Reviews are really great,
but it could stand on the DVD Information Site
if all the Episodes have Openings and Ending Credits
and if the DVD has Special Features (and which)

sometime some nice Reviewwriter writes about it.
But not ever Wink

that was it from me,
everything else is Perfect!

keep it up!

  No "Anime Unleashed" for you!!!
Posted by: r00ster - 08-14-2004, 05:53 PM - Forum: Rants - Replies (13)

So... I'd known about "Anime Unleashed" on G4TechTV for some time, just from hearing about it on various Anime forums on the 'net... and today I got all excited when I noticed I can actually get TechTV through my internet cable service.

Then... after I realised I wasn't seeing Anime Unleashed every night.. I read this article.

Annoying... apparently, under the current agreement with the CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission) regarding TechTV's ability to broadcast in Canada, they would be diversifying their programming too much by showing Anime Unleashed, thus risking infringing upon other television stations.

Except for the part where no other television station shows good anime in Canada.

I understand the reasoning, but at the same time, it makes me very "punchy".

Long story short, I guess I should just get an American satellite dish... you guys get that fancy schmancy Anime Network down there, too, don't you?

*envy*

  The Ledgend of Dragoon
Posted by: Mantis421 - 08-14-2004, 10:52 AM - Forum: Video Gaming - Replies (10)

At the end of the game The Ledgend of Dragoon their is a scene with two dragon eggs in a nest about to hatch. I have wrote Sony for years asking about if a posible sequel would of posibly had been considered. The game was made directly without outside help. It was an exclusive title to Sony. But here is the problem. Sony has always been borderline rude in saying we don't keep tabs on independant developers and they don't awnser anything else E-Mail wise. Does anybody know anything beyond what I have found out???

  Which dystopia?
Posted by: kakomu - 08-14-2004, 09:34 AM - Forum: General Babble - Replies (10)

So, after wathing Equilibrium and seeing it's amalgamation of different elements from the three large dystopian books, I thought I would Poll everyone their favorite.

A) Fahrenheit 451 - In this book, the pollice destroy all works of literature (and I assume art).

B) Brave New World - In this book, civilization has been brainwashed and continually drugged to allow for ease of living.

C) 1984 - In this book, civilization lives in perpetual fear of doing anything bad because of the large parent figure looming everywhere.

So, which is it? Personally, my vote goes for Brave New World, just because of how much thought was put into the environment.
