A friend of mine is a big NBA basketball fan (which I am not). She sometimes checks ESPN articles and send me links to interesting basketball news, hoping I'll become a fan someday. Yesterday, she sent me a link from ESPN basketball board that she thought was funny.

I thought that the absurdity of the whole thing was just hilarius. Demand for FBI investigation and whatnot!! Those guys make flame wars in this board seem like a pleasant afternoon tea party.

When will (FX) release Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien and Saikano in eng dub?

I finished reading volume 1 of 'Say Hello to Black Jack' a couple of days ago and the first thing I thought was: "I hope I never end up in a Japanese hospital"!
'Say Hello to Black Jack' talks about the reality of medical care in Japan. It's extremely popular in Japan and because of it the Japanese Ministry of Health was forced to do some (much needed) changes to the Japanese health system.
In one single volume I found out that, although there's 1 doctor for every 500 people in Japan, the number of hospitals there is so high that on average a hospital only has 3 or 4 doctors. 90% of hospitals there have no doctors working at night, it's 1 or 2 interns that do all the work! How can that be?! Not to mention that doctors there care only about money and their careers. If an ambulance is carrying a car accident victim, hospitals will willingly take the victim in because they earn more money by treating a car accident victim than, let's say, a heart attack victim. If they think a person will die in 4 months they'll interrupt most of the treatment just to save up some money instead of doing all they can to save that person's life. The different medical departments don't get along properly which endangers the patients' lives. It's terrible I tell you. And then there's the intern's salary problem. An intern in Japan earns about $350 a month! They can't possibly live with that little money! But in a single night working as full fledged doctors (which they're not!) in a hospital they earn twice that amount!
How can a rich and developed country like Japan have such a louzy health system?!!!

Is it possible for you guys to make it so that readers could contact reviewers?(like when you click on their names under a review give us the option to send an email to them.) I've noticed that there are some people here that'll post reviews but will never post at the forums. And while I appreciate their reviews, some aren't very specific. Given that there are many niche titles that don't tend to get a lot of reviews, perhaps it'll be helpful that if readers could email them and ask them to elaborate on their reviews? Just a thought and thanks for your time.

Anyone know if you can use bank account transfers at Amazon.com? (asked this in another thread but can't find it now and don't know if anyone responded) I see a link to look at checking account balance but nowhere to sign one up so I can use it to pay for items.

Apparantly, Miyazaki has produced three short movies for his museum including one short of Mei with a baby catbus. Has anyone heard of any sort of release for this short film at all in any country in any format other than flying to Japan to go to the museum?

Thanks to EVERYONE who bought/traded with me! Everything is now gone, and it only took a few days!

Those little plastic covers that they ship with the DVD's here, I don't know what they are called.

Anyways some of them give me alot of trouble, like my Berserk and Cowboy Bebop ones, I fear I might damage them someday putting them back on :-S.
