The Video quality is Fantastic! I was shocked because it almost looked digitally remastered. This is ripped from Laser Disc, so once in a while it gets a blocky patch here or there. Once in a while meaning after every 7 episodes or so. It is so infrequent, one might not realize it happened. I give it 4.5 Stars!
Audio:
The Audio is crisp and clear. It never sounds too quiet or too loud. The sound is flawless all the way through. It is never more quiet between episodes or discs. A perfect rip! I give it 5 Stars!

This is one of my Favorite Series' of all time! It has Depth, Character Development, Story/Plot, TONS of action and Excitement, and never lets you go! If you like space, conflict, and length ( 49episodes ) you need this series! The last disc is LOADED with hours ( at least 2 hours ) of extras, including, Commercials, A history of the Tekkaman Series, 3 re-animated episodes with extra character points, and MUCH MORE!!! Get this NOW!!!

This is a good series, always wanted to see it, and was really pleased by this. Its 49 episodes but the one thing that really bugged me about the show, 4 recap episodes. Yuck, thats alot. Video: The video being off the LD's, and being an older show we don't get the hottest looking video here. Its not bad but fair amount of film defects and grain in the film. The main problem though is heavy pixelation. Show has some nice sequences of action that get real ugly with pixelation. And as another poster had said, disc 5 has more than the rest. On some episodes during the pixelation you get some actual missing chunks of picture almost. On disc 5 this happens several times especially during transformations where sometimes during the animation and flashing screen like a quarter of the screen will turn to black pixels for half a second and the picture would suffer lots of pixelation. These sequences aren't to long so its not that bad. They kept in all openings and closings, and AV put in perfect chapter stops just like an official release! Audio: Good audio, no problems. Older mix so nothing special here to talk about. Subs: AV did a good job with the subs. Very understandable and the names are mostly correct. Names are almost perfect for about 3/4 of the series with certain episodes having the names go completely wrong. Translation is far from perfect and sometimes they can be real off, but still understandable. Some of the best HK subs I've seen, not as good as say Seikai no Senki, but very good. Show isn't overly complex either so that helps. Subs on some episodes get a little funky. Those episodes are the ones where they get the names wrong on as well. But thats not on a whole lot of episodes. Sometimes they make strange errors for example such as having every name right but one character and then they go and totally change that name into something made up. This happened a few times, not to often though. Also some confusion with characters and their alter egos. Tekkaman Evil real name is Shinya and for a while they were calling him Tekkaman Shinya for example heh. And in several instances when they are talking about the Space Knights they just say Tekkaman (which is just one part of the Space Knights, not all of them). But very watchable and I would put it on the top 10 best HK original subs possibly. Good stuff.

After watchin the horrib dub version of this im excited to say that this is excellent collection to get. The video it top notch and i have no complaints about it. Very crips and dvd faithful. The subs are also very well done and its not painful at all to watch. Too happy to finally see this one come out.

This is one of my favorites and AV did it justice. If you love Tekkaman, or if you don't know what tekkaman is, don't mind older animation, but love action packed shows, this is the show for you. Video: As good as you are gonna get. This is an older show, but the qualtiy is superb. Audio: Sounds great to me. Subs: Not perfect, but close enough. AV has gotten a lot better with its recent releases... One Piece, GTO (w/ exception of disc 4), and Tekkaman are all excellent sets.
