It's sad to see a good movie go down the drain. The audio and video were nothing to brag about (actually pretty bad). Worst were the subs...made no sense whatsoever. They couldn't even get the names right. How hard is it to spell Lachesis.

Yet another classic of anime butchered by Hong Kong. I have nothing good to say about this release. The subtitles are MUTANT, hideously deformed, defying any sort of logic or meaning whatsoever. The video is so bright my eyes were practically bleeding and I found myself mostly excessively quoting that freaky old bat from Poltergeist: "Go into the light!" Or don't, in this case. My speakers hissed at me like a viper throughout the entire one hour duration of this flick (although the packaging will say it's two) and I could have sworn they were going to jump out at me. Not that I would have particularly blamed them or anything... As much as I love this movie, I'm going to have to recommend you take a pass and pick up the fansub. Or better yet -- just buy the manga that's being translated overseas. That's some mighty nice space opera, bucko.

I feel bad about this one, really. I just think of all the other things I could've spent $15 on. I'm almost positive I could've downloaded a fansub of this and been infinitely more satisfied. The plot is fairly convoluted, being one of those that's based on a VERY long running manga series. The subs were just plain bad, and I felt myself suffering the same way I suffered while watching Angel Sanctuary. I spent all my time trying to translate the Engrish instead of actually following the plot. As a result, I have no idea what happened in this movie.

Horrible video, very bad. Weak audio and the subs make ZERO sense
