The video on this set is truly refreshing. After the poor video qualities of the tv series sets, this is just incredible. This movie has so many intense and action packed scenes and there is no macroblocking, pixelation, or anything else bad that could make this experience anything less than grand. MI can do great dvd rips and this is another example of what they can produce. There is an MI watermark occasionally but since this is presented as widescreen, it never gets in the way.

The audio offers two options. Dolby 2.0 and 5.1. Since I am not so much a technical guy I just refer to them as loud and louder. The audio is great. This disc just has the Japanese audio, but I prefer the Japanese voice actors anywya.

This is a great set. I see they have released a version of the R1, but this one is great if you don't care if there is just the Japanese audio. The video is perfect and with the widescreen look it is just great. At the end of the disc there is a repeat of the opening and closing segments, kind of like music videos. Even if you have never seen Cowboy Bebop the tv series, you should check this one out it is awesome. There is even a rumor that it may get an Oscar nomination for best animated film, but it may just be a rumor...

It's a R2 DVD rip, beautiful graphic. I watched the movie again on my Sony VEGA 29inch, and found there was no problem detected. My old TV a Mitsubishi 21inch, which I found some problem at first (little square in dark areas) needs to be replace. From now on, I'll review my DVD on my Sony TV

I liked the movie a lot. Vincent and Electra are a great addition to the movie. Vincent has a lot in common with Spike so Spike wants to find out if he is a match to this killing machine. Electra past isn't showed up in the movie except that she and Vincent were in the same unit in the Army 3-4 years ago. The showdown between Vincent and Spike in the Tokyo Tower is the best fight sequence i've seen in a while. There are only two things that bothered me after watching the film: first, we don't know much about the relationship between Vincent and Electra, then we don't know how Vincent blood came in contact with Electra's blood, they never mentions it in the movie. Secondly, we don't know what will happen to Electra after the event, they could at least explain it if they put 15 minutes more to the movie Overall, this is a great movie, plenty of action scene between Vincent and Spike. There is unfornuatly no romance in it and there is plenty of explosive thing to keep the adrealine pumping. Highly recommanded

Excellent movie and it ain't even out on R1 yet so get it now. Video : 5/5 Must be an R2 rip because it is very good, picture is sharp and DVD quality, in true anamorphic widescreen. Don't remember any glitches whatsover Audio: 5/5 The 5.1 DD audio track kicks ass, clear, good seperation and almost thunderous. One of the best 5.1 audio track for HKDVDs. 2.0 stereo is overly loud. I heard some people say that the 5.1 track is out of synch but I didn't notice anything. If it is must be by a millisecond so I won't matter. Subtitles: 4.5/5 Excellent subtitles from fansubs, some spelling mistakes and typos but nothing to serious. The font was easy to read. A truly great release by MI, I heard the Fx version had some problems with widescreen viewing (it was scretch vertically and couldn't be seen in any widescreen mode).

YIppee! I was thrilled with this title! Video: 4.5/5 Excellent, with the exception of the green "MI" logo popping up in the corner of the screen every so often. Audio: 4/5 I heard some crackling during the opening theme on the 5.1 setup other than that, I didn't have any trouble. Subs: 4/5 Slight mis-spellings here and there but nothing that so bad that the proper word couldn't be quickly identified. Loved the movie, I can't wait until they release it here in the US!

Really great movie!!! Like the rest of the serie this movie is really good. Man this is prolly one of the best anime movies i have seen in a while that had to do with an actual series. The animation and design is just amazing. The story will keep you hooked to the screen for throughout the entire movie. It never gets boring. The action is great....i mean if you have seen the series and like what you see then you can expect the same if not better in this movie. I give it a 10 out of 10. IF you are a cb fan then you must go out and purchase this movie. Cause you wont want to miss out on it.

Almost perfect. It looks like LD rip. If you're watching very carefully, you can see rounded corners in some scenes. There are about 2 jumps of the screen but it's about 1 sec. long, and appears in the less important scenes, like ending credits. The picture is a little bit too dark.

Pretty good. I've made the fansub with it, but only with sound 5.1. Screen is 16:9, but when you Rip it, it's much more bigger. I can't still understand it. The menu really sucks. You can choose 4 scenes. It's less then you could expect as for full lenght Movie.

This movie is ....... one of the best movies of all time not just anime. The video subs and audio are all excellent on par with alot of region one titles. The only complaint i have is there are some misspellings but that is so minor it is barely worth mention. If you have not seen this movie yet buy it quickly If you are a fan this movie is well worth your time but even if you have not seen this series or hate the show this movie is still well worth your time. BUY IT NOW!

What else can be said, this is a killer release. The video is excellent exceptt there is a slight blip a coulpe different times. Nothing big tho, and it dosen't effect the movie at all. Since I don't have a 5.1 system, the 2.0 sounds just fine through my stereo TV. It is kinda loud though, but turning it down fixes that problem. :) The subtitles are great too, but have some misspellings. If your a fan of Cowboy Bebop, you need to pick this up.

If you are a fan of Cowboy Bebop and do not own this than I feel sorry for you. It is an awesome movie and worth every single cent. As with everyone else I agree the 2.0 Audio SUCKS! However the 5.1 audio is FANTASTIC! Now that I own this I will HAVE to se this in the theatres even if it means travelling across state lines to do so. This movie rocks and so does this Import!

video 5/5 Flawless R2 rip, the quality of the movie itself deserves to be shown in perfect transfer and nothing less, MI didn't disappoint. Audio 5/5 I didn't try the 2.0 but 5.1 sounded great through my setup, first anime I've experienced with a real 5.1 track and it definately didn't disappoint! Subtitles 5/5 The Chinese sub had a few bad translations so I switched over to English which was near-flawless except for a few typos here and there. Definately fansub quality. Extras 3/5 Creditless OP and ED included, while I don't really care it might be valued by others. A great DVD representation of an awesome movie that deserves to be in any anime fan's collection.

When I popped this disc in, I was totally amazed at the quality of this release. Video - 5/5 The Video of this disc is just totally amazing. The colors are vibrant, there isn't any bleeding, and I didn't detect much (if any) pixelization. This has to have been ripped from the original R2 DVD considering how good this DVD is. Audio - 4/5 The audio was a little bit of a let down. The 2.0 track was on time, but overly loud, and thus kinda distorted. The 5.1 track was better sounding, but was also a quarter second or so behind out of sync. i was able to deal with the latency as the timing wasn't too bad, and you eventually got used to it. Subs - 5/5 Absolutely great! There were a few mess ups here and there, with spelling errors and such, but not much to complain about. The engrish is cut to a minimum, and overall is very understandable, and readable. This DVD is a great deal. Besides the unattractive packaging, there is barely anything wrong with the Disc. This is a great buy (considering that the FX release apparently has some problems), and since it hasn't been released in America yet, it's a good purchase to round out your Bebop set.

The video quality on this disc is excelent! The letterbox made it look like an official release. The audio is 5.1, however, I had a slight problem with my copy. There was a slight hum coming from the rear channels. Not too sure if all discs are like this but it's definitely not my speakers (Bose). The subs were great. Only a couple misspellings away from perfect. Almost perfeect release for MI.

Overall if u like Anime/Cartoons (same damn thing)just go pick this one up its well well well worth the price.....$11.50 who would ask for less?? I dont know how its possible that no one has noted this, unless my disc is defective, but the 5.1 Audio track on my disc is out of sync. It is slightly ahead. Along with the distorted 2 channel track, i was dissapointed with this considering all of the rave reviews.

This movie was absolutely amazing. It had perfect video and audio and only minor glitches in the subtiling. This movie would have been worth five times as much. TO anybody woh loves the series or just likes good anime just buy this movie, you will not be disapointed.

Audio: True 5.1 audio. yup yup, probably the best I've heard come out of HK. I had the whole house shaking with the kickin soundtrack :-P Subs: The subs seemed to be a fansaub job....maybe that's why i liked them.Very few errors; like misspelling etc. But no biggie - very few. Video: Widescreen. Great colors and wasn't grainy at all. The MI release has some music videos that were a cool addition. I like it when they give you little perks like that. This flick confused me for a while in the beginning - it had me wondering what the timeline was. it actually takes place between the 22nd and the 23rd episodes. Recommend this one to anybody. Even if you're not a die hard Bebop fan, you'll still enjoy this movie. A *must* have!!

This version has some pretty in depth reviews already so I'll just add a little bit instead of a big review with the same stuff. I prefer this version over the fx version for a couple of reasons. -widescreen -5.1 channel sound -the subs appear on the black bar at the bottom which makes it really easy to read -and more content (music video). The MI logo does pop up a few times but its really not too distracting since the movie itself if so good.

Video - 5/5 -------------------------- Sadly I only got to see this movie once which means I wouldn't have had time to sit down and note all the problems, luckily for me once was more than enough. The picture is great, nice rip job done on this. Vivid colours, correct fleshtones and no grain or shudders. There was some moments when blocks appeared in the picture as someone previously mentioned but you'd really have to be struggling to pick those to fault it. Sound - 3.5/5 -------------------------- 5.1 - Wonderful, great, sublime... Did I mention it's quite good? Another good rip job done here. Everything sounds right and there wasn't any distortion or humming to be heard. 2.0 - Ack... Problems arise. Basically to put it bluntly; "this track be defective foo', fo' sheezy". Yes, this is a known problem with the track and it does bring down the overall score but with such a good 5.1 track I don't really care, even my mono TV sounded good with the 5.1 track. Subtitles - 4/5 -------------------------- Great, basically it's a fansub so the translation is good. Some slight spelling mistakes and slightly silly mess-ups but apart from that, good subs. A good safe buy of a good movie. Although I didn't find it as entertaining as the series I have to say it was a welcome addition and I'll most likely be buying it. It might be safe to wait to see how the FX release shapes up, however I doubt there will be a massive difference.

Well, video, audio and subs are all great. Nothing else to say... They used (did a good job on it) very good fansubs for the subs, used R2 DVD for video and audio (real 5.1!!!) Recommended....except if the FX version is even BETTER! (My guess is that they are allmost equal in quality, except for the packaging and the postcard MI provides with it.)

R2 rip on the video, almost perfect it looks great but in black scenes or like in the Scene with the indian, the blacks and sky would be a bunch of blocks. You get this on legal releases sometimes too so *shrug*. There are a couple screen blips in the movie. Audio the 5.1 track here is really good. Great seperation and such, awesome, truely. There is a problem though as the disc contains a 2 channel track, but its a defective track with much of the sound directed to the center channel, and it plays way, way to loud. Subs: Subs are taken from the VCD, same exact translation, so its very good. The only problems were that there are quite a few spelling mistakes here and there and there are two lines that got left out. One being some random jibberish so its not important, but one was a line that was part of a joke that the old guys in the plane were talking about. No biggie I suppose. Its a great disc, really good stuff, and the MI release comes with a post card :)

This is an awesome dvd it is a rip from the R2 an has awesome video, the subtitles are great and seem to come from a fansub script, they do have few spelling errors, but are some of the best out there. The sound is 5.1ch and is great, but the 2.0 sucks!!! This is an awesome release and is Highly Recommended, it even comes with a postcard.
