No gripes here! It's as clear as ever.

Audio:

Again, very nice and very clear. For the movie (on the third disc), there was even some surround sound when the waves were crashing.

Subtitle:

There are Chinese and English subtitles. The Chinese has no problems but the English is downright bad. It's like reading what a first grader wrote. Fortunately, it's not as bad as other HK DVDs. You can actually understand what they're talking about. Then, there are the name changes. Again this isn't so bad as long as you get used to them because they are constant through the three discs. There was also an occasional email at the bottom. Here's a guide: Yusuke - Yochur (Kuwabara calls him "Pufan") Botan - Peony Koenma Jr. - Little King of Hell Kuwabara - Senyung (or something like that) Hiei - Flyingshadow Kurama - Tsarama (or something like that)

Comment:

This is a peculiar boxset. It says "Movie Pack" on the front. Well, the first disc is a 30-minute episode where Koenma Jr. is kidnapped and the ransom is for his father's Golden Seal. That disc has a textless opening and ending after the episode. The second disc is a weird compilation of fight scenes in the tournament. It has no continuity at all. The third disc is what I guess is the actual movie. It's in widescreen format. The good thing are the motion menus, they're awesome! All text on the menu contain English and Chinese side-by-side. Very nice.
