video -- below average, even vhs is better audio -- poor, sound like tv-mono saved as stereo subs -- junk, they are worse at start, but later they get real crap, timeshifts! autoring -- bad, intros/endings are cut off RESULT: beware at any cost !!!

So this was the first set that the quality made it nearly unbearable to watch. Video- 3.5 not bad Audio- 4 good Subs- 1.5 WTF happenned here? I can't even get through the series cuz i'm too lost trying to make sense or guess what is being said. Nevertheless the series has me. Somehow i'll figure out a way to finish the series but if you don't know the series throughout or you don't know japanese, proceed with caution.

I watched about half of this series on VHS before i discovered HK DVDs, and i'm disappionted in how this one turned out. Video: 4/5- I really didnt see any problems with the video on this set, maybe some dull colors but nothing that bad. Audio: 4/5- Again, no real problems. Once in a blue moon you can hear a slight buzz when nobody is talking. Subs: 3/5- Ug, this is where this set went wrong. The subs are almost complete engrish most of the time, and the names are all wrong(EX:Akito becomes Mingyan, and Yurika becomes Lily) Less importantly some lines are unsubbed and run off the screen. Case: 4/5- Its so pretty ^^ this was the first set i bought and i was really impressed with the job manga did with the gatefold, i'd say its prettier than most. Unfortunately my dvds keep coming out of place. Overall: 3/5- If not for the bad subs this would've been a great buy. I wouldnt buy it if you arent a fan and havent already seen some of the series.

The AS and MI set of nadesico are pretty much exactly the same: just different cases (AS case is a little more ugly ;) Video 3/5: looks like a tv rip (95% of all the openings are cut out, and all the endings are cut out as well) sounds: 4/5 standard 2.0 japanese track subs: 1/5 or maybe 2/5, names are in ingirsh, not all dialogue is subbed and sometimes it goes offscreen, plus some subing is badly translated It's an... okay set, if your'e a nadesico fan and want something more economic i'd get it edited by sushininja3333 on 12 Apr 2002 10:48 am

Keeping this one short and sweet. Video: 5/10. Washed out colors, jumpy picture, ugly compression. Viewable, but it ain't pretty. Audio: 7/10. No static or dropouts, but reeks of VHS transfer. Subtitles: 2/10. Complete HKDVD Engrish. HK names (altough some episodes do use Nasesico and Ruri correctly). Incomprehensible grammar and sentence structure. Case: 9/10. I'm a sucker for pretty AC/MI gatefolds :P. Like the title says, unless you're a fan, skip it
