Video:
Despite how outdated the animation is, the video quality is just top notch and makes it the picture crystal clear. However, if you're a close minded person that judges the animation and design as bad just because it was made before you were born, this anime won't be for you (and on top of that, you're an idiot to have that kind of judgement =P). Anyway, the quality is so great, it will make you feel as if you are being taken back to the 1970s when you watch it for the first time.
Audio:
The music and voice acting is just perfect and top notch. You just gotta love the ending theme to the 2nd Ashita no Joe movie, Joe Forever. I would want that song to be my funeral song and just have Joe's name replaced with mine ::lol::. Carlos' random English phrases is very funny and speaks it moderatley well (unlike Brian Hawk in the Hajime no Ippo manga). In the second movie, Nishi's seiyuu changes but still speaks in Kansai-ben (the dialect of the Osaka, Kyoto, Nara area).

Comment:
I say this is a good introduction to get you into the series. The movies of Ashita no Joe are good but offer so little to what makes Ashita no Joe truly great. I encourage that you get into the series after you watch this.
