A perfect rip. No video problem's at all.

Audio:

I have only watched the serie with the Japanese track, so no review of the polish track. The japanse is a dub track, but it fits perfectly over the voice's & lip movements of the polish authors. With other words, you won't notice it a lot that its a dub (hell of a lot less then with a Amerikan, french or German dub of movie's/serie's). The audio is perfectly clear, and you will love it when you hear the music. Note: Get the Avalon OST's :D

Subtitle:

The subs are perfectly understandable, and look to be a rip from the original DVD. The story is perfectly understandable with the these subs, and you wont lose any meaning of the story. In other words, they are perfect in my eye's.

This is a review for the 1 Disk version from MI. It include's some trailer extra's.

Superb. DVD-source, without a doubt.

Well, they were translated from Chinese, but seemed pretty good.

I had the 2-disc version. Just a gatefold holding the normal movie disc and an extras disc. Sadly, none of the extras are subtitled, but there are many trailers and interviews... very nice for collection purposes, or for once you learn japanese :p

I picked up the japanese dubbed MI release for my japanese friend and watched it with her. I already had the official all region japanese DVD with Polish language track. I love this movie, but it's not one everyone will enjoy. Video- Pretty much perfect, some minor glitches here and there but they are rare. Audio- Sounds like true surround through my HTS, I wouldn't be surprised if it was real 5.1. Subs- The subs were perfect, in fact I'm pretty sure they are the same as the official release that I have. It's not anime, but it is a great live action film. Give it a chance you might dig it....

This movie is coming to america in the next few months, definatly go see it. It's not the best movie made, far from it, but it's a better bet to see than the crap that has been coming out in the USA lately. Btw, this is not an anime movie, its a live action one. Great film, but its also not one for everyone. This is another one of Oshii's slow moving movies with a few awesome action sequences. It is his slowest movie though, but I still really enjoyed it. The quite scenes had wonderful music in the background :) Also to note, the film is live action, so this aint anime folks :) Video: Perfect video here, totally gorgeous. This surely is the R2 rip. Its a recent film so it looks real good. Lots of uses of filters and CG in the film which the disc holds up well on unlike many discs were CG footage will wreck havoc on bitrates and cause pixeled messes. Audio: Great surround track here. Don't know for sure what kind it is but it sounded awesome on the system here. Speakers were rumbling and the surrounds were working overtime here. The music in this film is awesome so its a great film to crank up. Subs: Perfect subs, no problems at all. The only problem noticed was onscreen english text was incorrectly translated but its a minor thing as the translation was still pretty close. And you can freakin read the screen and what it says :P
