It's really pretty clean, though to me the colors did look a little dull. It may not be worth mentioning, but about 10 seconds are cut from the start of this movie. It's really nothing important, just a special effects sort of thing with clouds-like things being sucked into a point, then begind Keitaro's memory.

The cover has a Xmas pose of the group from one of the manga volumes, but it's printed badly as the lines are very hard to see, and the colors seem to overflow. The image is quite poor. Plus, the cover looks pretty crappy with the stupid reduce size image with the huge pink background. Menus-- Rather ugly, and limited. No motion at all, MI really sucked on this one. The movie itself was OK. It didn't have much humor in it so I didn't enjoy it as much. Overall, you'd be MUCH happier buying the FX Perfect Collection which includes the R1 rip of the movie, instead of this one.

I love this special, whenever I'm asked which my favorite episode of Love Hina is, I say the Christmas Special. It's sweet, funny and fits very well after the 24th episode. In my opinion it seems more like a longer episode of Love Hina. Picture 3.5/5: It's very clear, but has some "ghosting" (the previous animation frame does not imediatly dissapear) Sound 5/5: The sound and music was perfect. Subtitles 5/5: Also perfect, no problems at all. Overall 4.5/5: It's another great addition to your Love Hina collection, get it now.

Video is a little bit unsharp. Sometimes there is a little bit ghosting and there are some dropouts. It also has the typical MI flickering at the bottom of the screen.

It's a good DVD, but the video has some ghosting issues. Which basically means sometimes images fade into the background instead dissappearing. Hard to explain but nothing to keep you from buying this DVD

The sound is good and the subs are excellent just like the TV AC version! But be careful because there are worse versions of this and the Spring Special as I have found out.. not sure how you can know the difference, so I would just go with the AS versions.

The video quality in this dvd is second to none. No wrinkles, distortions, shaking or anything else that sometimes appears on other hk dvd's. 5/5 Sound quality is egually awesome with nice clear stereo sound with no humming. 5/5 Subbing. Now this is how subbing should be done. Very understandable with perfect timing. Definately no engrish speakers writing these subs. 5/5 Is it a pefect hk dvd? Almost. The menu screen is just a still picture. Nice to look at but boring at the same time. The series have a nice animated menu that this disc is missing.

Video: The video on this looks great. I didn't notice anything bad in it. It is about the same as the rest of the Love Hina discs from Anime Cartoon/Manga. Definately one of the best that I have personally seen for a Hong Kong DVD. 5/5 Audio: The audio track sounds clear. I didn't hear any static or anything like that. I was very satisfied with it. 4/5 Subtitles: Ah now these are really great. I believe they used the fan sub scripts for this as they did on the TV series. There wasn't any engrish that I remember and all the sentances made sense. They were on par with my digi fan subs. So basically they were great subtitles 5/5 This is a real good disc and reccomend it. It has good A/V and great subtitles. A must own for Love Hina fans.
