Video for the most part was excellent. On the first disk there was a small case of anything bright red having little green squares appear but this only caught my eye in the opening theme song and the first few minutes of one episode in which Sakura was wearing a red shirt. This only happened on the first disk and the rest cleared this right up. On the Sweet Card Episode (On Disk 4), there was some rif-raf on the last 5-10 minutes of that episode and that episode only. Still was watchable for me and it didn't unsync anything and it wasn't really that bad. 4.5/5 for me -- Pretty Good

I didn't notice any problems at all with the audio here...Here and there it looked like the audio might have been 1/2 a second off but I was staring at their mouths during it, but then again, I could have been wrong and it was not noticable at all....Perfect ^_^

This show is great. I watched it slowly because I didn't want to watch it go. This is a must-have series for anyone. I am a 14 year old male and there were some "girl" moments but I enjoyed all of it. With the sweetness and the cute moments and of course those moments that made me laugh. It's a great anime for anyone who doesn't mind not seeing any blood in the series. I highly enjoyed this anime series and it is EASILY rewatchable. MUST-OWN! This was a great set put together with wonderful boxart and it was well put together, however! The cd holders in these 2 boxsets can be a lil "loose" so your cds might fall out. however, I spent a good 10 minutes looking and observing and I mastered how they work so none of my disks fall out. It's hard to explain but if you work at it and understand how the cd holder is supposed to work it will be fine. Glad I bought this! Keep in mind btw, that there is no extras on any disk and the menus are in japanese however, I got through it fine by some guess and checking (and I was right on my first try) and I had no knowlege of Japanese language...So, go buy this! EDIT//UPDATE: Few little tidbits I forgot to add: When you pop in the disk from the start (any of the 8), it will not go directly to the dvd's menu. It will just start playing after the little Anime Video logo has appeared for like 30 seconds. So, make sure you have a title/menu button on your dvd remote or else you'll be stuck and I do not believe that it was set to auto-have english subtitles. Which can be a bugger. On every episode at the beggining the Animation Video logo (small little logo) appears in the top right hand corner of the screen...It will stay there for about 30 seconds and then it fades away. This only happens at the beggining and is barely noticiable, in fact, by the time I was on the second disk I didn't notice it fade in on me. xP Oh, and by the way, if you wanna see how big that little logo appears just look at this screenshot: http://import-anime.com/image.php?picloc=NTI4LzUyOF8zZmMwMzMwMjRhNzgxLmpwZw== Finally, I would like to say that I was going to pop this in my computer on my dvd drive and take some screenshots of the menus to show you for the screenshots but it refused to play via Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player is not the best dvd player and my computer doesn't have the best dvd drive but, if I did not have an xbox to watch it on I would have been stuck. I don't know if this is a problem with anyone else or if it's just windows media player or if it's just my dvd drive that's whack. Im not sure. But just keep an eye out O_O I just wanted to end this with this little note. Even though I went through a lot of nitpicking and it looks like this is a bad dvd release because of all these 'problems' I found. Well, all of these problems are minor and nothing draws away from the show. I enjoyed this set and im glad I got it. I never once couldn't see what was on the screen or it skipped or freezed. It's a great release...If you want CCS but don't have the money to buy all 18 R1 volumes, buy this! It is really a great release and I would still reccomend this set to anyone. So, don't let my little comments discourage you from purchesing this set. Thanks =)

Very good video, probably LD rip. Some few glitches. Should be 4.5, but in the episode where Sakura captures the "Sweet" card there is an encoding error. For the last ten minutes or so you'll get strange blocky stripes. And on the first disc some red colours have green blocks. Nevertheless, very good.

I was pretty happy with this set overall, except for a few nitpicks. And it's a great show! I watched all 70 episodes in 3 days! Video: 4.0 / 5.0 Most of the time the video looks really good and clean, possibly a good LD transfer, but occasionally they have flashes..missing frames, i guess. Also, as mentioned before, the Sweet Card episode does have some problems, but it wasn't TOO bad on my dvd player (ive heard in some cases its unbearble). Also, on the first disk, some of the close ups of red colored stuff has like, green blotches. I guess. Overall very good, nothing to worry about, unless your really picky in which case you shouldnt be buying this anyway. Audio: 4.5 / 5.0 Perfect. No crackling, no popping, no nothing. Won't blow you away with awesome sound, but it's definately all you need. Subtitles: 4.0 / 5.0 Seemed to get a tiny bit worse near the end of the series, but overall very good and very understandable. Nothing to worry about except for a few timing errors, but thats not limited to just CCS. Very good. A solid buy. Definately better than paying for the R1's, i think. edited by itsmin on 24 Jun 2002 8:08 am

I bought CCS as an alternative to the incredibly incredibly incredibly overpriced American DVDs. I basically got my money's worth -- a lower-quality version of the show that is definitely worth watching, but not as good as the overpriced version. Video: The video breaks up into small, blocky chunks every hour or so (they correct themselves a few frames later). I guess this was an MPG rip! ^^; Audio: No problem. CCS has beautiful background music ^_^ Subtitles: The subtitles seem to have been done by an American who was simulatenously talking on the phone. They're often adequate, but not well thought-out. When Touya says "Sankyuu" (Thank you), it's translated "Arigato". Apparently due to the "When in Doubt, Translate it Back into Japanese" law. Other notes: - No Kero-chan ni Omakase! This is a great addition to the show, but it was left out of the Hong Kong version. - The DVDs fall out of the case easily. Be careful with them, or else they'll get scratched! My friend will never forgive me for that. With Mokona's love, Ashibaka edited by ashibaka on 14 Jun 2002 8:03 pm

Name: Card Captor Sakura TV Genre: uhmmm magical girl and cute ^^ video/audio/subs: verygood/verygood/verygood This set is one of the best hkdvd sets out there! it has excellent video, audio and subs! Only one Episode (on DVD 5 i think) is a bit messed. The video is jerky and barely watchable, but the rest is fine. on the later eps there are also some minor mistimings and unfitting translations.

Wow! This is a great set! It's a great anime too and a must have for all HK DVD fans. This set incldues all 70 episodes of Card Captor Sakura (the 3 sagas of CCS). This has only japanese audio Video 4.5/5 Pretty good. No problems, except for one episode (the sweet card) the picture becomes unbearable, but stops at the start of the next episode. Some people can over come this by skipping a few frames where it happens, but I'm not sure if this works for all DVD players. Subs 4.5/5 Overall pretty good. Sometimes a few misspellings and missing lines, but competly watchable. Audio 4.5/5 Okay. Nothing to complain about at all. Overall 4.5/5 A great set. It's in my Top 10 of best HK DVDs.
