As the subject says I was fairly impressed with the Disc. The Audio and Video were very nice. The subs were quite good too. Very understandable. As some of the above posts mention, The English subs for the Japanese Dialogue are pretty much spot on. However, the English subs for the English dialouge are a little wonky and a little too fast. Since it occurs in a part of the show you can just listen too,this shouldn't bother too many people. Great buy!

SUBs: very good it was cool cuz sometimes the dialogue was english with jap subs and sometimes it was jap with english subs it depended on whethere an american or japanese was talking i found that cool viedeo: good nothing out of ordinary sound: very good. overall a good buy

Video, audio and subtitles are excellent. Subs not perfect but very good. The dvd is definitely a R2 DVD rip. The R1 DVD is only a few dollars more. If you have extra dollars to spare, get R1 since extras are not subbed. If you only want to see the show, get this.

With a near perfect release, Anime Cartoon has brought Blood the Last vampire to the HK market. Video- 5 out of 5. Very impressive. More than likely a direct rip of the r2 release. The only problem as with almost every AC release is the Ac logo that pops up for a few seconds on the upper right corner of the screen. Blood is also in wide screen letterbox format :) Audio- 5 out of 5. Awesome surround sound. good use of all speakers in Dolby Prologic. My receiver doesn't have dolby digital, but sounds excellent in ProLogic. Subtitles- 4 out of 5. This is where AC made a stupid mistake. Blood is part japanese dailogue and part english. For some reason they decided to sub the english parts. The annoying part is that the subs are different from what the characters are saying. Also, sometimes the subs move a little to fast and there are a few grammar mistakes. Although the subs are what bring this release down a notch, it's got to be one of the best AC releases. I like the AC cover for the dvd more than the R1 version. This is defintely a must buy dvd. If the subs bother you that much turn them off! There are only a few parts that are spoken in japanese and reall aren't that important.
