It was posted that you have to know the game. WRONG. I don't agree because I don't know about the game at all and still this turned out to be one of my favourite shows. Knowing the game probably makes it even better but that's it.

Video quality was pretty good. Nothing to really complain about.

Only get this anime if you are familiar with the video game. Otherwise you will be completely lost. The storyline is basically a sub-story of Arc the Lad 2.

The audio and Video were great quality...the subs were average. The storyline is about a young boy who becomes an outlaw in order to protect a young girl. I found the show enjoyable (it had a really cool premise)...but lacked cool fight scenes, engaging storylines, & strong characters.

I got this in the other day from a big bulk of hk dvds. (I got five, if you consider that big bulk.) I watched the first five episodes, and I couldn't take A-N-Y-M-O-R-E! -_- Video-- (3.5/5) Very nice, actually. The colors had a tendancy to bleed, but other than that, it was fine. Color bleeding always annoys me, so I gave it a rather low score for this factor. Audio-- (4/5) Not bad, not good. It sort of died down once, in the second episode, but it only lasted for about, three seconds, so it was very tolerable. Other than that, it was some damn good audio! Subtitles-- (1.5/5) Horrible! Absoluley HORRIBLE. Sometimes, it was a little understandable, but HORRIBLE, STILL! Jesus... -_- Content-- (na/5) I can't judge this series. I honestly can't. I didn't watch enough of the HK dvds, and I've never seen it in any other format. I may pick up the R1s sometime. If so, I guess I'll edit this thing. But, if you're a fan of this series, or just want to see it, PLEASE, oh PLEASE don't even TOUCH this set! Horrible! HORRIBLE!

Video 5/5 DVD rip, very nice quality. I couldn't notice any flaws. Audio 5/5 The soundtrack is actually 5.1 but I didn't a dramatic difference. No hissing or crackling which is a good thing. Subtitles 3/5 Unstandable Engrish but that's pretty much about it, they butchered the names but that's expected from non-fansub translations. Content It's more enjoyable if u've actually played the games, helps u link with the characters better. To someone who hasn't played the game it'll probably just be an average show.
