Even though this was made back in the late 1980s, it is defenitley one of the best in anime with it's designs and animations. Not really perfect quality with the video, but top notch. Perfectly use of resolution of color and very enjoyable battles in sequence for the audience to watch.
Audio:
Great music, great acting, great everything. Watch with surround sound if you can.

I think everything was much mentioned here. A good disc to have but i didn't really understand the show as i've only watched gundam wing endless waltz aside. At the part, where the bad guys have negotiations with Char, the dvd sort of jams. I've changed of others and it is the same. Probably something wrong with the encoding. It jams on my pioneer and toshiba dvd players. However it does not jam on my pc dvd rom or in non branded china made dvd players.

I think this is a good release. While I would of given video quality a 5 being a R2 rip, I lower it on star because I think Bandai could of done a little more digitally remastering it. Audio is good too, may be 5.1 but I don't know since I don't have the setup. And as for the subs, people complain they move too fast but they are 99 percent perfect which I think earns it a 5. I'm a fast reader so it does not bother me too much, better fast subs then crappy subs I say.

This was close but stupid timing ruined this release. To note: This film was ripped by AS and they screwed it up. Stay away from the AS version, it has a logo that wont go away :P Video: Very good, quite suprising because of the age. Believe it a R2 rip, can't be sure but it looks pretty sharp. A few blips, logos, and pixelation in areas, a few instances of ghosting appeared as well. But these are small occurances and it looks good and the video holds up well even with all the crazy action here. In this movie which ends the main UC story, the mecha here got crazy and the speed and action is fast and furious, but this disc holds up well. Audio: Great audio, no errors and such here. Decent surround it seems, not sure specifications and any such things I wouldn't know for sure since I don't got the correct equipment. Subs: The subs are fansubs, I used to have the tape that used the same script. So you got basically perfect subs but there are a two things that bugged me. For one, there are double quotes around alot of the subs in the movie. have no idea what happened there but it just does. The biggest problem though is the timing. The movie has lots of dialogue and theres lots of talking during Gundam battles so you got your eyes jumping back and forth here, but what sucks is that the subs move extremely fast for the whole film. Its readable for the most part but some subs are so big that its almost impossible to read it all in time. Theres also several instances where the subs just flash on the screen and dissapear and you miss what almost could have been a paragraph. Its understandable, but you will have to rewind or pause a few times to not miss things.
