I have a sony dvp-s7000 player which ranks among one of the most recommended dvd players-and originally retails for around $1,2000 or so. Why am I telling you this? Because I have the same problem of starting the movie as everyone else. It doesn't matter if it is a ps2, cheap dvd player, or expensive one, there is simply a problem with the programing for the start button itself. Is it a big deal? No, just slightly annoying to wait for the movie to start...but it will start. Video...4/5...no problems...just a old movie Sound...4/5...clear but no dolby digital surrond Sub...4/5...perfect english...same problem of sub flashing by too fast at times. Slightly annoying but not too bad since most of the time you could read most if not all the text before it disappears.

Yes I too have the same problem with the play button but that's not too bad because it does it after a while. Anyway yeah the visuals are great no color bleed or anything and the sound is quite nice no fuzzyness and whatnot. The subtitles I'm not to sure about maybe its just me but some of the names seemed like they did not fit. But im not sure since i dont know their true names. Other than that it was all in English barely, if any, Engrish. Quite nice for a Gundam HK DVD.

Well basically this film is EXACTLY the same quality as the CCA film, so I'm copying and pasting that review here and making some changes for some things. The films are pretty much identical though so: **************** -This was close but stupid timing ruined this release. To note: This film was ripped by AS and they screwed it up. Stay away from the AS version, it has a logo that wont go away :P . Yup F91 and CCA both have this problem. Video: Very good, quite suprising because of the age. Believe it a R2 rip, can't be sure but it looks pretty sharp. A few blips, logos, and pixelation in areas, a few instances of ghosting appeared as well. But these are small occurances and it looks good and the video holds up well even with all the crazy action here. The animation is not as frantic as CCA though at least. Same as CCA, video is identical, only thing I would say here is that F91 has nicer animation :) Audio: Great audio, no errors and such here. Decent surround it seems, not sure specifications and any such things I wouldn't know for sure since I don't got the correct equipment. Subs: The subs are fansubs, I used to have the tape that used the same script. So you got basically perfect subs but there are a two things that bugged me. For one, there are double quotes around alot of the subs in the movie. have no idea what happened there but it just does. The biggest problem though is the timing. The movie has lots of dialogue and theres lots of talking during Gundam battles so you got your eyes jumping back and forth here, but what sucks is that the subs move extremely fast for the whole film. Its readable for the most part but some subs are so big that its almost impossible to read it all in time. Theres also several instances where the subs just flash on the screen and dissapear and you miss what almost could have been a paragraph. Its understandable, but you will have to rewind or pause a few times to not miss things. Now this is the same as CCA which is almost the same review but personally it seemed as if F91 had more problems with text flashing on screen. It wasn't a huge occurance in CCA but in F91 there seemed to be more scenes where the subs just blinked almost. Hard to tell the difference though, these releases were so similar. One problem that I had which could just be my player, but in the menu of the movie, when I hit play, nothing happens. The menu basically locks up and it takes about 10-15 seconds before the movie will actually even play *shrug*
