Average quality video. I wouldn't say dvd quality though. Pixels are noticable in some episodes. Not as crisp as a DVD should be. Low on this one
Audio:
Same as video, audio is a little better. Not very crisp and sharp like a dvd should be but negotiable.

If I were you, DO NOT BUY THIS SET! It is not worth your money. Get the perfect dvds when they are out, which they should be.

Instead of wasting my time telling you my painful memories of _TRYING_ to watch this set, please allow me to just sum it up simple and clear. ) *ahem* DO -NOT- BUY THESE DISCS!!! To sightly elaborate for the curious - This boxset is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the WORST quality bootleg I've ever seen, and (hopefully) the WORST quality I'll EVER see. And trust me, it can't get much worse than that. The video for the first 3 episodes looks like a good VHS rip at best, but from 4 and onwards, I wonder if these people were getting a TV signal by wrapping aluminum foil around their heads and dancing around to bad techno. "An atrocious, blurry picture" is the nicest way I can describe it. The suffocated audio didn't help, and I'm worried that my brain will explode if I tried rehearsing the subtitle script. Thank you. :)

I bought this set on a whim. As a matter of fact, this was my first HK dvd set, I think. It almost made me NEVER buy HK discs agin. Luckily, I realized I just didn't know what I was doing, and that I should try again. I bought Berserk, and I was very pleased. ^_^ Video-- (3.5/5) Sometimes you feel like having bad video quality, sometimes you don't... *_* Really variable. The first few episodes aren't bad, the next are okay then the last ones are just... wel... horrible, to speak frankly. *_* Audio-- (4/5) Not horrible. Probably the only good factor on this dvd. Subtitles-- (0/5) "Do you want to revenge or nor?", "An Alive Man!?", and "Why are you comer to me?". The past quotes explain why this HK dvd has some of the worst subtitles... EVER. Not just on HK, but on any R1-R789,468!!! Content-- (na/5) I can't judge this series, seeing as I never understood what was going on during the HK discs, and I've never seen it anywhere else. If you are a fan of this eries, or just want to check it out, go ahead and buy the fansubs, or something. (I'm not sure if there are any R1s.) They might be worth your time. I will probably get them myself, eventually. (I just bought Hellsing, Soul Taker, and Hunter x Hunter 1-62, so I'm dirt poor.) edited by SomebodyKillMe on 30 Jun 2002 10:19 pm

First 2 eps are excellent video quality, probably DVD rip... but there after, bad TV rips :(
Audio:
The audio isn't to bad, supposedly 5.1 surround, but the shows that were TV ripped, 11 of the 13, just don't sound all that great.

AC and AS are the same as Dreamcast says in his post. Bad video, TV rips after the first 2 eps. The sound isn't terrible, actually not to bad. The subs on the other hand.... I have the divx fan subbed versions and they are SO different, you can't correctly follow the story by the subtiles that are on the DVD.. it's just to confusing and the story suffers way to much from the bad subs. Stay away and if you really love this show and hope someone else does it! *help me pressure florachan ^__^* edited by flasm on 18 Mar 2002 5:58 pm
