I have seen yestereday this SS OVAS and I noticed that the source is no vhs, it´s a LD rip. I know that because a friend of mine have the 2 first movies on LD and they were the same...

The things I´ve noticed are... The video was pretty old (what did you spect? The movies are for late 80´s I guess) and I´ve haven´t noticed glitches of jumps in the image. -altough the source was "digital one"-

The audio was pretty decent but nothing out of common it was clear.

The problem is this, the subs. They are a little bit bad -but very undestandable-, with mispellings but all the lines were subbed.

But if you enjoy the SS movie you have to buy this one, cause there isnt a better quality in dvd for the movies.

Video- 3 out of 5. Not the best quality, but watchable. SS is a very old anime and I really can't complain too much. There was no jumps or glitches in the video which is a plus, but it does show it's age. Possible source..VHS. Audio- 4 out of 5. 2 channel stereo. Sound is nice and clear, but nothing jaw-dropping. Subtitles- 3 out of 5. Not bad at all. Really my only gripe is alot of grammar mistakes. sentences are sometimes backwards, which proves it was translated from a chinese script. It's nothing unbearable. Overall, it's not a bad release. Considering there's no R1 or any other release, you should pick this one up. Tons of old-school style fighting and corny one-liners you gotta love that.

Okay the video was alright considering the age of this anime. The subs was also alright. Audio is all good. The only gripe i have with this dvd, was that during some parts on my dvd-rom i couldn't read it during playblack and since i also have the AC/Circle K version which had exactlly the same problem :p
