This "movie" although stated on the back cover that it is over 2 hours is actually only 30 minutes (although that is the official length, still, it's quite annoying being lied to.) Video was good but I wouldn't put it at DVD quality. In fact theres also unmistakable evidence shoved in your face that it is from LD since it requests on a blue screen following the movie "please turn over to side 2" or something as such. I don't think there are much DVDs out there you can flip over, do you? The audio was weird again. Is it only my TV? There was a kind of hollow of echo-like sound to it, which was also the same with the Doraemon discs amongst a few others. I heard having surround sound or doing a mono-mix fixes the problem but I'd rather expect audio to be at least normal even if I don't have surround systems, so I don't rate this too high. The subbing was the usual above average AC jobs, but there was enough mistakes for me not to actually say there were good. "Dualists were also replaced with "Dearlists"....Dear? Dosen't sound like they would want to fight much. Nevertheless, it is very easy to follow the storyline and I don't think theres any part where you could be confused at. Overall I wouldn't recommend this set since it's so short. I know it serves me right though, to buy it without knowing that the movies length is just 10 minutes more than an ordinary anime episode. The storyline alone is also nothing too astounding, so even as a fan of this series I think you wouldn't mind missing it.

The video is definantly a Laser Disc transfer, and being rather old (from the 1995 Yugioh series), the colors or sort of really dull, and the animation has really nothing spactaculer, or even slightly dazzling. It's the best it can be with a straight transfer, I suppose.

Fine, fine.

Once again, Anime Cartoon/Manga International has done it again. The biggest one I noticed was (either in this DVD or in the Yu-Gi-Oh Special DVD) that instead of Duel Cards, it was called Dear Cards. And there wasn't Duelists, but Dearists. It is a rather short (and stupid) movie with a bad plot, and nothing exciting at all, especially if you're familiar with Duel Monsters. The packaging is pretty good, in all japanese... but the DVD case itself was bad (the front of it curved out, which was annoying as hell, and the case is a cheap one). The menu was pretty good, with only 2 menus, Play and the Subtitle. Both have video, and the play one uses the YGO theme song, while the subtitle one takes its ending theme song. I might point out, there's one extra: a trailer for the movie that plays before the actual movie starts.
