Alot of Macroblocking on moving scenes, still images and slow moving action are fine though! Some of the CGI effects cause terrible pixilation, but then you get MOST of ther R1 extras so it's worth it... However the entire climax battle of episode 6 is missing (some of the battle can be found in one of the "Extra Classes" featurettes) and 2 further minutes from episode 14? are spirited away... It's a shame really because other than that this set would have had no problem scoring a 4/5
Audio:
Superb audio on both the Japanese and the English Dub! No drop outs pops or clicks detected over the entire series!

Comment:
While the video quality of this 3 discs set isn't perfect the DVD capacity isn't wasted you get some of the commentries, 9 of the 11 AZ Extra class featurettes and some of the line art and character explanations seen on the very comprehensive R1 DVDs! Personally I don't mind the loss in quality in light of the extra features actually enriching the story! The "Extra Classes" are fantastic and really help you understand the mythology behind the series, it's a shame they're not all there really. The missing episode parts are the biggest issue with this set, although I think all in all you don't miss much plotwise, you do lose something not being able to see Chrono's first battle with his unlocked abilites... All that aside I would reccomend this series and this set, don't be put off by the slight SD look of the series, it's still quite dark and the bad guy (Aion) is a badass...

Video is fine except on moving scenes where there is pixilation. The picture is nice and bright with no bleeding or fading colors

This review is actually for the MI version and not the EZ version. Tried 3 times to add the dvd but it wouldn't take so I'm adding this review here. The episodes are broken into 5 parts (OP, 1st part, 2nd part, ED and preview) This set has all the extras that the R1's have which is great because the encyclopedia and Az's extra classes sessions really help to flesh out the story. There is a major setback though as the last 2 minutes b4 the end credits on ep 6 on disc 1 and the last 5 min of ep 14 b4 the credits on disc 2 are cutout. I don't think you miss that much but still it's unacceptable. MI's productions used to be top notch but this and similar problems on my DNAngel set are not good. Hopefully they can get back to being as good as they were.
