Looked pretty good on my 60inch TV. There was some evident pixellation through some of the darker scenes or high-speed shots, but for the most part it looked nice.
Audio:
Terrible. The Japanese sounded ok, but there is a big problem with the English. It sounds like the audio was recorded in a tin can. It is extremely annoying and noticeable on regular speakers. Based on this alone I have trouble recommending this set.

Overall, a very cool show. I personally wouldn't get this set based on the crappy English audio, but the official R1's are expensive. Your best bet would be to download/rent and check it out first. If you really like it, splurge and get the R1's, if you think it's just OK, then go ahead and get this version.

To me this visuals are spot on when you compare them to the R1 dvd release. Especially when you consider that there are 8 episodes on the first 2 discs, and 9 on the last.
Audio:
The audio is nice, but there are occassions where it does sound like it's squeeky. Whenever Fuu whines in the series it's pretty noticable. Other than that, it's nice.

I recently bought this 3 Disc set, and was very pleased overall with the quality of it. Only one episode did I have an issue with, but it was very big, just a simple fast forward to get it playing again. I highly recommend this set.

All was good here I don't recall seeing any pixelation throughout the set so that's always a huge plus when you consider the number of episodes per disc.
Audio:
Loud and clear as usual didn?t notice any problems here.

It's good to see that EZDVD actually went back and corrected the timing problems with the original release I just wish that kind of practice was more common. So to anyone who buys this set do everything possible to make sure you get the corrected version. Anyways the series itself at least to me is good but not great just like Cowboy Bebop. It's done in a similar style to Bebop though the influence is different and obviously the setting is as well.

some minor quality loss here and there, but nothing worth complaining about. solid 16:9 Widescreen ratio and bright colors all around!
Audio:
this is where I think the set hurt the most. I listened to both Japanese and English Audio and the Sound was quite airy and streamy like a 96kbs mp3. nothing like the R1 I'll guarantee that.

Overall I'm not disapointed with the set, but I do think it could use improvement in the timing and the audio quality.

Even during the high-action there wasn't any pixelation. As a bonus, the menu system is attractive.
Audio:
Again, great~ I didn't have any sync problems on my PC.

Since the series is so submersed in artistic stylization, I was very pleased at the care given to maintaining those asthetics. The packaging for this set is beautiful! The clear case and doublesided cover really make it.

Unlike the other reviewer, I didn't see any problems with the video on my Sony DVD player. It's nothing fancy, so I'll assume that it might've just been a bad rip for that particular box.
Audio:
English track only, and it sounded fine on a Sony 5.1 receiver. However, and it might just be the series itself that does this, but the volume is unusually low.

Love the series. Edgy, artistic, and unique in every sense of the word.

I'll admit it now, it seems that a lot of EZs newest releases haven't had the greatest of video quality. Especially if you have a real dvd of the series to compare to. There's a lot of artifacting and compression issues in any high speed scene. Which for those who have seen the series, you'll know there's a lot of them. The thing is, the more I watched, the less I even noticed it anymore. And by the end, I didn't notice it at all. Though i'm sure it was still there. All in all, i'd still give the series a high video ranking, if only because it could have been A LOT worse.
Audio:
Having only watched the dub on these sets. The audio was perfect, i'm sure identical to the R1 releases. I did try the japanese track out a few times, and it seemed to be fine as well.

As of late, there haven't been many anime that get me excited anymore. But this is one of the few series that let me know that there still ARE good series out there. Everything from the story to the action is just brilliantly done. The characters are great, and even some of the more humorous episodes were pulled off really well. If you're a fan of samurai anime, then this is a must. But be warned, this isn't your typical 'by the books' series.
