Great video quality! I didn't notice anything to worry about even when there was fast animation on screen.
Audio:
Great sound quality. Both the soundtrack and English dub are very good.

Notes* *Minor glitch likely only on my set, on disc 3 I could not pick the final 3 episodes from the scene select screen but I could still watch them if I started on an earllier episode on the same disc and then use the chapter skip to reach them. *I watched this series on a COBY brand DVD player (DVD-224 model) with AV cable on a 25 inch RCA TV. *Also tested it some on a PS2 (50001 model) and a jWIN DVD player (JD-VD 136 model) The series it self: Ginrei724 summed it up perfectly no use saying the same thing twice. :)

Very very good. Most of the time you'd never guess that this was a HK set. I was actually stunned by most of the video (very bright and vibrant on my set, a Sony HDTV), especially with the first disc, which has 12 eps crammed on it. There are a few instances (mostly in dark scenes) where there is pixelation in solid dark colors, but these are pretty rare. Only brought the score down to a 4.5
Audio:
An English 5.1 track, a 5.1 Japanese track, and even a stereo Japanese track. All sound pretty good. I stuck with the J5.1 through most of the show, but listened to the English in a few instances just to hear the voices (surprisingly well voice acted). All sounded very sweet. Honestly would have prefered no 2.0 Japanese track, and a few more bits for the video, but what are you gonna do.

This is a really fun series. The R.O.D OVA was okay, but there wasn't much to it. No real storyline. This, the R.O.D TV makes up for that in spades. It even fleshes out the events in the OVA and makes them relevent to this series, making both the OVA better in the process. The characters in this series are all fun, and you root for who you're supposed to root for, and hate who you're supposed to hate. It keeps building and building until the giant climax at a perfect speed as well. Perfectly paced (not too fast, not too slow, and plenty of character development [something the OVA missed the boat on]), and some pretty big cliffhangers in the second half that will really make you watch this in giant chunks at a time. A highly recommended series, and a highly recommended set.

Episode split for this set is 12/8/6 over 3 DVDs, taken from the R1 discs. The video quality is really impressive throughout this set, even with a low bitrate. I didn't notice any pixellation or blockiness anywhere, even on the fast action sequences.
Audio:
English 5.1, Japanese 5.1 and (oddly) another Japanese 2.0 track. I listened to the English dub, which I enjoyed - no problems on my stereo setup. Checked the others to see if they were there (they are!)

Not much in the way of extras - there are some preview things that you can see after the last episode on each disc. Excellent series! If you enjoyed the ROD OVA, then this is a lot more of the same kinda stuff. Definitely worth getting this set, as it looks like it is virtually the same as the R1s would look (and sound). Of course, when the R1s are down to a decent price, I'll be getting those for sure!
