Video:
On my widescreen TV, there is noticible pixelation throughout the show. Dark scenes, action scenes, and scenes where a lot of one solid color is on screen all had noticible break-up or pixelation. Not that the overall video quality was asstastic or anything, but there were problems to be sure.
The video is anamorphic widescreen, and most of the rest of the series (besides the areas I just described) do look pretty sharp... Just not 5-star perfect.
Audio:
An English track, a Japanese stereo track, and a Japanese 5.1 DTS track! The DTS track is what I listened to and it's good. Not much rear-directionality, but nice and crisp and booming when it's supposed to be. I spot checked the other tracks and they are there.

Comment:
A really fun series. It's like an animated Godfather or Goodfellas. A mob story that follows a few young punks as they rise through the ranks of a large mob family. It starts out kind of weak (the main characters seem fairly pathetic in the beginning), but if you stick with it you'll see a fulfilling story filled with bullets, betrayal, and babes... Well, maybe not too many babes, but lots of the other two. Once the story takes off you just get hooked. Things don't always work out like you'd think, and the plot really keeps you on your toes. I'd give the storyline a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
