Overall:
Video:
The video quality is top notch, then again the sources were top notch as well since this animation isn't exactly DBZ.
Audio:
This movie has the same composer from the game (FFVII) so most of you know how good that can be.
Subtitle:
Movie: The subtitles had a lot of contrast making them very easy to read. I didn't notice any mistakes except that they would sometime span off the screen but you could figure out what was chopped off anyway. OAV/Extras (Disc 2): Standard borrowing anime yellow subs. I don't know if some of the names in the japanese version of FFVII were different but here's what I noticed: Turks --> Takks Shinra --> Salo (or something like that) Soldier was called something else as well but it's slipping my mind
Comment:
This set is absolutely worth it (especially since this movie will not be released in English for a while). After watching this set you may want to dust off the old PSX and play the game to completion for the 5th time (or is that just me?)

Video:
Incredible video quality here. At no time during the show did poor video quality interfere with the enjoyment of this incredible animation. I'm happy to say that I've had a chance to check out a second copy of this movie and the stuttering that I mentioned earlier appears to be an isolated problem so don't let that affect your decision of whether or not to pick up this great movie.
Audio:
Incredible audio seperation here. Even with my two speakers it felt like the sound was coming from all over my living room. I would like to check this out in a full surround sound set up to experience the whole thing.
Subtitle:
These subtitles are easy to read and well timed. There are two or three times throughout the movie where the subtitles extend past the right and left edges of the screen but those are fairly minor. The translation was pretty good as well. It's easy to understand what's going on during the movie but some of the phrases were a bit awkward during the movie. A good editor could tighten these subs up a bit... but not too much. One odd thing is that this disc includes Swedish subtitles. I can't remember the last time I saw a disc with Swedish subs. Another thing odd about the Swedish subs is that if you select English subs from the subtitle selection menu then you get the Swedish subs and vice versa. It's a good thing that you can get the correct subs via the controls on your remote.

Disc 1 (DVD-9) - FF7 AC main feature, 100 min, anamorphic, DD 5.1 & 2.0 Disc 2 (DVD-5) - FF7 AC special edition, 24 min, anamorphic, DD 5.1 & 2.0 - Last Order, 25 min, letterboxed, DD 2.0 - making-of, 36 min, letterboxed, DD 2.0 - 8 trailers, 20 min, letterboxed, DD 2.0 - 11 dialog-only bonus tracks, 3 min, letterboxed, DD 2.0 The first disc is exactly the same pressing as the single disc release from EZDVD. Only buy this set if you want the OVA and other extras this includes (which are pretty cool but mostly for FFVII fans to enjoy). The menu on disc 2 is pretty hard to read on smaller screens because all the information is packed onto the front screen. These bonuses are pretty cool. The OVA is pretty well done and all the advertising spots are incredible. I have to admit that I haven't watched the making of production so I don't know the details of that. I do know that it is subtitled in English but that's as much checking as I did for that part. The 24 minute version of the movie is like a super long trailer that tells most of the story. For the extra seven bucks the bonus goodies you get here are pretty good. I expect that the R1 subtitles will be a little better but probably not by much.
