Video:
The video quality of the anime was pretty good. The drawings may seem outdated, but that's okay for an old popular series. This series was way back from '96 -'97 so you can understand why the graphics won't be top of the line CGs or hi-tech computer enhanced graphics. Pixellation was very rare, and I didn't notice any distortions or blurriness. The colors were a little washed out, but didn't detract any of the enjoyability of the show.
Audio:
I thought the audio was pretty well done, but nothing really special here.

The subs were actually very well done, timing was perfect, neither too fast or too slow. The names were all translated perfectly and none of the annoying Engrish was in the subs. However, there were a lot of typos and missing punctuations which made it a bit annoying to read.
Comment:
The final series of The Slayers is quite a real treat, it has the same amount of whimsical comedy from the previous series, but a bit toned down. This was actually more action packed with a lot of conflict involved. I personally thought that the previous two series was much more hilarious, but still, this is a good series that you wouldn't want to pass up on.

Video:
Video is a little grainy (possibly it's the same on the original source) and there's some pixelation. Still very good, though.
Audio:
Nothing to complain about on my simple stereo TV.
Subtitle:
Basically, these are close to perfect, except for the typing errors. Guess they are "ripped" from the US release the old-fashioned way (meaning re-typed by some Chinese people). The errors are mostly missing letters, spaces or additional spaces. This can be a little bit annoying, when the missing or excess spaces create a word that gives sense. But since names and grammar are right, I can still justify the rating. I also can't remember any mistimings.
Comment:
If you liked the previous series and want more, this set is a safe buy. Lina, Gourry, Amelia and Zelgadis are on the road again, and of course the fate of the whole world is at stake. Not as funny as Slayers Next, but there are some fun episodes thrown in (Ever wondered what happens to sentai groups when they grow old? I really loved this "Village of Justice" episode). Recommended.

So far the audio/video have been pretty perfect, seems to be an LD transfer instead of DVD though, but I don't complain as long as its clear. Subtitles are actually better than the First Slayers Season Set but not as good as Slayers Next. However that being said they are still very very good. No problems on timing and only a few occassional spelling/spacing errors. There is only one opening and ending credits per DVD though.
