Overall:

Video:

On this set the video is perfect! No heavy pixelation or blockiness. Chapter breaks are precise.

Audio:

English and Japanese language tracks are crystal clear, the gunshots will rock your TV speakers.

Subtitle:

Medium size font but you can still read it, also proper translation of the Japanese dialogue.

Comment:

Great set. Gungrave is one of my favorite anime series, I picked this set after I bought the other one from FX. I like this set better. The extras repeat themselves on each disc. A highly recommended series.

Video:

Anamorphic widescreen format up 'til the last episode. This AV version is obviously ripped from MI's R1 rip. There is absolutely no pixelation visible, even in fast action scences. Colors are crisp, contrast & sharpness are good, too. That's how perfect video should look like!

Audio:

Japanese DTS 5.1 + DD 2.0 and English DD 5.1 sound, just as featured on the R1 discs. Watched it in original Japanese and spot-checked the English dub. No distortion, no dropouts, no shit! Need I say more?

Subtitle:

Subs are yellow and perfect in any respect. 100% R1 ripped. No missing or mistimed lines spotted.

Comment:

Yes, it's indeed episode 1-26 complete on 3 DVD-9s. Nothing missing. Animated main menus with music. Extras for each disc include: conceptual art, textless OP, textless ED. Comes in a nice, yet dull-colored gatefold case with M-locks , looking a bit faded, exactly like pictured. Same thing with the disc art. As if AV ran out of ink. Well, still better than waiting for a decent EZDVD version (I prefer gatefolds anyway). Front & back covers are in English. Technically, this set is perfect! (testing equipment: Panasonic S75 multiregion DVD player, Sony Wega 25" flat screen TV, RGB scart connection, Kenwood & JBL stereo setup)
