The video was pretty good for the TV series and Movie. There was an encoding error on disc 3, that caused my dvd player to stop, so I fast forwarded about 40 secs to get it to work again. Some instances involved pixelation, but I'm not sure if this was a rip of the original EVA dvd that I bought yrs back.
Audio:
No hissing or weird noises to me.

I liked this series, very confusing though. I will try to rewatch this show sometime in the near future

Note: I spot checked episode 15 as I'd already seen the series before. So everything in this review pertains to that. Odds are this was pulled from the R1 release. SKU (on discs) DVD-0523 / "Animation World International Limited" (on back cover) I only have two beefs with this release that prevents it from being *perfect*. 1) They mispelled "episodes" as "episones" on the front cover which causes me to question if this was a nuked release as the SKU's are sequentially one prior to what is listed here. Everything else is the exact same as the picture listed. 2) All of the chapter markers are ~10 seconds before where they should be. Its consistant too. Part 1 of the episodes start during the tail of the intro, part two starts just before the commercial split, and the closer starts just at the end of the episode. The opener starts at the previous episodes "coming next week". Final verdict: Worth the pickup if you get the chance and don't already have it. Especially if your going to watch multipul episoNes in a single session. ;-p
