Not as good as DVD quality video but seeing as it was likely taken from a TV airing and not from a another DVD it's fine. A few dark scenes looked a little frizzy it was very minor though. There is a bluring effect during some of the action scenes since it's kinda cool looking I assume it's supposed to be there.

Good sound quality and great soundtrack. I can't tell very well if voice acting is good unless it's in English, I guess that at least means I didn't hate it.

Notes* *I watched this series on a COBY brand DVD player (DVD-224 model) with AV cable on a 25 inch RCA TV The series it self: Madlax is from the same people that made Noir. Madlax is not a sequel to Noir but it has a similar style to it. In my view Noir had an almost perfect mix of action, character and plot. Compared to Noir, Madlax is much more plot focused and it spends less time on character and action. I like the characters in both series a lot but the lack of action in Madlax was disappointing. Not to say there is no action, just not enough. Some unneeded flash backs of what has already happened slow the pacing a bit to much at times (Noir had the same flaw) but it does not get in the way much and they are only in the second half none in the first half. Overall Madlax is well done and very much worth seeing.
